Hamish makes a fine stand-in model when I don't have any cooperative kitties available.
Flash is to Hamish's right on a slave unit optically triggered by the on-camera XTi flash (I hadn't yet sorted through my photo equipment and found all of the other flash units I have that I can use on the stand).

I love books and can't remember a time before I could read (apparently I could read when I was four). So the public library was one of my favourite places. I wanted to be a librarian when I grew up. Or a teacher.
When I was eight someone burt the library down.
It was several years before a new one was built. It was very modern and trendy, light and spacious. It had armchairs and when I would occasionally bunk off school, I would sit in an armchair and read, finishing a novel in one day.
The new library was around about where this building is and looked a bit like it. But this is not the same. I'm sure it's not. It's now called the 'Barking Learning Centre'. I guess its likely that this is the 'new' library with bits added on.
I can't decide wether I prefer this photo, or this one.
