At Avondale Regional Branch Library's Books & Beads, participants celebrate the summer learning theme by crafting “A Universe of Stories” bookmarks.
Ensley Branch Library kicks off its 2019 Summer Learning activities with 55 youth attending the Paint Your Own Bags program. The kids color their own canvas bags bearing the BPL Summer Learning theme "A Universe of Stories."

The learning theories focus on increasing employee motivation and performance by linking the outcomes that employees receive to the performance of desired behaviors and the attainment of goals. The math problems written on the board relate to the learning based motivation because just as math is taught through the repetition of problems, the linkage between performance and outcome are taught to people to help motivate them.

In keeping with our 'learn about the job, how to apply for the job and how to prepare for interview' series, young people from our Employability Service spent the morning with the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust's (really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable) Early Years admin team.
Staff took time with each young person to explain their job and set them small tasks that put the theory into practice.
The second public school of Partskhanakanevi, Georgia
Akaki Fertsuliani, a 19-year-old teacher at Partskhanakanevi public school in the village of Fartskhanakanevi in the Tskaltubo municipality, is one of those rare people who understands the technological pulse of the modern world and realises the need to adapt to new realities in the wake of progress.
Akaki was in the 12th grade and had already created several games, when Ilia State University, together with partner organisations, within the framework of the EU "Education for Employment" (Skills4Jobs) program, started the project, "Network of Youth Technology Clubs ". The project invited schools from eight regions in Georgia to provide students with knowledge in coding or technical entrepreneurship. As part of the project, the second public school of Partskhanakanevi decided to teach students Python.
Akaki has become a trainer at the technology club, as well as a programmer, a technology guide and a confident assistant.

Before our Mt Kinabalu hike, we stayed in our guide's village. Because tourism is important to the village, some of the women were learning English from an Australian volunteer. We came and talked with the women as part of their class.
