Almost the entire second floor of the new section of the library behind the atrium is taken by a section called the Learning Curve, aimed at kids.

Over the Spring semester, (Pre-)Pharmacy House students held two Dinners with the Deans. First Associate Dean Andrea Hubbard joined students and discussed the application process for the School of Pharmacy. Later in the semester, Dean McCarthy joined students for a meal and discussion in Towers Dining Hall.

Santa brought Tabby a doll bed for Molly for Christmas. it came with a beautiful coverlet, but a plain mattress & pillow.I thought making a pillowcase and mattress cover (I'd say sheet, but we made it be a pillowcase basically so it wouldn't come off) would be a perfect first project using the sewing machine. I got so excited I had to take pictures. Did she run out of patience? yes. did I do some of the seams? yes. But we're both proud of how well she did do for a first time and very pleased with the end result. Can you believe I had that lovely fabric which went so well with the bed and the bedding it came with?

Active learning is the form of learning where the learner actively participates to learn and get real-time feedback. Passive learning is the form of learning where the learner receives or internalizes the information without getting any feedback or practice. It’s a fast way to learn and requires the least amount of effort which is why it is the most common way to learn.
It's an afternoon of music- making fun at the Avondale Regional Branch Library as their teens got an introduction to digital music creation and manipulation. They learn drum sequencing and editing techniques using digital and live samples with professional software such as Pro Tools and MPC Studio.
