Lo so che il pezzo dei Pink Floyd non ha nulla a che fare con l'affrancamento ufficiale di Gianfranco Fini dalla pidiellina gabbia berlusconica... tuttavia l'assonanza fra la sigla di Futuro & Libertà (FLI) e il verbo Volare (in inglese to FLY) era troppo gustosa per non citarla!!!

There is a remarkable likeness between Gianfranco Fini's new party: FLI (Future and LIberty ) and the english verb to FLY... this resemblance sounds more and more like a prophecy when we consider how much rhis event is representing a real flying away of Gianfranco Fini from Berlusconi's Cage!!!

A couple weeks back my newest lens, the Nikkor 18-200mm VR, arrived but I had little time to play with it. Five days later my new camera, the Fuji S5 Pro came but even the camera sat for a few days until I had time to pick up the proper flash card. Finally a night came when I could take both downtown to see what they could do. First, I was amazed to see how close this lens would let me get to a subject. The above is a tinier-than-usual geranium blossom found in a flower box in the Haymarket.
Then I tried it out for distance and put its anti-vibration capabilities to the test...

The girls are learning about batteries. In this activity, we've set up a circuit with a light bulb, battery, and switch. When the paper clip touches both of the metal brads on the paper, the light will go on. When the paper clip doesn't touch one of the brads, the light bulb goes off.

This group of BSM alums, and current University of St. Thomas students, recently spent time in Australia studying economics and, of course, scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef.
As a volunteer stage hand I was responsible for inserting and removing a couple of scenery drops. Between dress rehearsal and the opening show I'm sure I was as nervous as one of the Leads in the performance or the Director.
For each operating rope, the is a brake and a brake lock. The rope runs in a loop and you pull the rope down to move the scenery. Pull down on the near or forward section of the loop to drop it down or "fly it in." Pull down on the rear or backward section to raise that curtain/scene or "fly it out".
There!
Now you are as well trained as I am. :-)
