November 10: Took a quick walk around the Frog Pond, snapping shots the whole way--for a project. Most of my shots are very into the distance. This was one that was closer up. The light was fading, and my p&s wanted to flash, but I hate flash. So it's not entirely sharp. But I like the textures and the soft light. It was a lovely half hour all by myself--save for passing by four or five dog walkers. It's a 3/4 mile path, and well used. I'm happy that so many people (and dogs) get pleasure from this little wet spot on the land.

Sometimes I find myself wishing I was a plant expert..... Found these tree leaves with very strange 'devil' horns growing all over them. Thoughts welcome? Not quite as sharp as I'd have liked but given I had to stand on the road to shoot it handholding was my only real option.
