Lamps as seen on Main Street in downtown Greenville. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman.

The dragon is predominantly seen as the symbolic power and authority of the Emperor. In China, until the early 20th century, the Emperor, or Son of Heaven, was held as the bridge between heaven and earth. His ceremonial role was to seek balance between these two states.
A mosquito appeared flying around the lamp and that quickly caught Lisbela's attention. That was a rather lucky shot from when she was still enough so I could take the picture.
GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN--This beautiful, unusual lamp is made of a lacquered steel base and a custom-made shade with toile Belle's mom found in the US. Thanks, mom!

Condition: Mint to Very Good. All original parts (except for the shape) appear intact and in working order, including the pull chains and switch. All lamp sockets are in working order. I have not tried to clean the chrome---appears to have some minor surface issues (see photographs). Heavy base has a dull, matte finish as opposed to the chrome, banded rings at the top and the bottom of the glass center section. Original cords and interior fittings. One interior area seems to have been covered in electrical tape for safety.
