Knowledge Day has been celebrated on September 1 as a public holiday in the USSR and the Russian Federation since 1984, on the basis of the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated 10/01/80 No. 3018-X “On holidays and memorial days”, as amended by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated 11/01/88 No. 9724-XI “On amendments to the legislation of the USSR on holidays and memorial days”.

For first-graders, this is a holiday of the "First Bell", and in general, a holiday of the beginning of a new school year, especially for pupils, students, teachers and lecturers.

On this day, students traditionally take flowers (or something similar) as a gift for their new teacher.

The 23rd OT Knowledge Exchange was held on April 25, 2025, at The Drake Centre in Fort Collins. The theme was Putting Policy and Advocacy into Action for OT Practice.

In the last edition of Common Knowledge 2013-2014 cultural professionals with interesting ideas and projects were in the spotlight. A team of coaches helped creatives to prepare the best pitch, which they presented in front of a jury and advisory board, and of course nice audience.

I enjoy learning new things. I love reading personal development books because it gives me an insight of what other succesfull people think and do. I'm amazed by the fact that I can be inside someone else's mind just by reading their words.

"Attaining clear, accurate knowledge and understanding of these truths regarding God’s sovereignty over human fate is mandatory lesson for everyone, is the key to knowing human life and attaining the truth, is the daily life and basic lesson of knowing God that everyone faces, and which no one can evade. If some of you wish to take shortcuts to reach this goal, then I say to you, that is impossible! If some of you want to escape God’s sovereignty, that is even more impossible! God is man’s only Lord, God is the only Ruler of human fate, and so it is impossible for man to dictate his own fate, impossible for him to surpass it." from A Continuation of The Word Appears in the Flesh
