In the last edition of Common Knowledge 2013-2014 cultural professionals with interesting ideas and projects were in the spotlight. A team of coaches helped creatives to prepare the best pitch, which they presented in front of a jury and advisory board, and of course nice audience.

Lecture by Nico Voskamp | Voordekunst.nl | Crowdfunding
Voordekunst.nl is the first and most successful crowdfunding website for art projects in the Netherlands. This year the platform celebrates its third birthday and it already collected almost 4 million euro’s with which over 600 projects were financed. Nico Voskamp of Voordekunst.nl explains how you can use crowdfunding and why its so successful for arts and culture projects.
Common Knowledge collaborated with Bureau Europa. For the edition 9 we have invited Jeroen Laven of Stipo, for a lecture on urban development, social-spatial strategy and how creative are the driving force behind the new economy.
Afterwards a dialogue focused on the City of Maastricht raised interesting topics and needs.
Universities are places of knowledge. The freshman each bring a little in with them, and the seniors take none away, so it accumulates.
One has to wonder about god's motivation in making forbidden fruit so damned sweet. We all know how important intelligence is. By displaying this original Twisted Jenius poster, you can take a stand against stupidity, and encourage all of the fools out there to try taking a bite!

During Common Knowledge #7 Daan Wierenga coached the enthusiastic cultural professional in order to perfect their presentation skills. In the evening they had the chance to pitch themselves in front of renowned and inspiring experts such as

Nuclear Technology and Knowledge Transfer hosted by the African Regional Cooperative Agreement for Research, Development and Training related to Nuclear Science and Technology (AFRA), together with China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC).
