One of the most important things I feel that I have learned in the past year is the importance of having knowledge. As a Modern Orthodox Jewish woman in America, I feel it is my duty to be very knowledgeable about my religion, and that is why I have specifically chosen to post this photo of a Jewish trivia book. It is very hard being Jewish in a city like Columbus, because the percentage of young Jewish adults here is extremely low. People become very intrigued when I begin telling them about Judaism, and I want to be able to have the knowledge to represent Jewish people in a positive, educational way.

Voordekunst.nl is the first and most successful crowdfunding website for art projects in the Netherlands. This year the platform celebrates its third birthday and it already collected almost 4 million euro’s with which over 600 projects were financed. Nico Voskamp of Voordekunst.nl explains how you can use crowdfunding and why its so successful for arts and culture projects.
My husband and I were sitting in a park overlooking the Mississippi river reading. I glanced over and his hands laying on his open book immediantly caught my attention. What I saw was describing a part of him in a way I never could with words. He is always searching... digging deeper for understanding. It's one of the things I love most about him.

Fear often emerges from a place of incomplete knowledge and understanding. When faced with unfamiliar or uncertain circumstances, our minds tend to fill in the gaps with assumptions and worst-case scenarios. It is in these moments that fear takes hold, fueling our anxieties and inhibiting our ability to move forward. However, by recognizing that fear is rooted in incomplete knowledge, we can begin to challenge its grip on our thoughts and emotions. Seeking out information, asking questions, and embracing a mindset of curiosity can help us bridge the gaps in our understanding and shed light on the unknown. As we gather more knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the situation at hand, fear gradually loses its power. It is through education, exploration, and open-mindedness that we can transform fear into a catalyst for growth and empowerment. By acknowledging that fear stems from incomplete knowledge, we open ourselves up to new possibilities, experiences, and perspectives, allowing us to face the unknown with courage and resilience.
The knowledge exchange event aims to generate actionable learnings and collaboration which participants can use to promote the effective provision of climate information services for agriculture in ASEAN.

God is all knowing. He knows more than we could ever read in books. I used an ISO of around 1000 and a depth of field of F2.0
Part of the "Atom Hunter" series of paintings, celebrating the endeavour of describing the sub-atomic world. A skull with a head full of atoms surrounded by more atoms, accompanied by two cactus, and the name "Cactus County" within two cartouches. The painting is set into a handmade green and brown spray painted frame I made especially for this piece.

Common Knowledge collaborated with Bureau Europa. For the edition 9 we have invited Jeroen Laven of Stipo, for a lecture on urban development, social-spatial strategy and how creative are the driving force behind the new economy.
Afterwards a dialogue focused on the City of Maastricht raised interesting topics and needs.
