• Themed Photo Days: Everyone knows Happy Ass Monday and Topless (Titty) Tuesday. Various themes are given for the rest of the week by several different authorities on the subject, and the Cabal is no exception, though our parameters extend a bit more than most:
- Mondays -- Happy Ass Monday. Everyone knows this one. Take sexy shots of your glorious derriere and put it up so that we can all ogle it properly -- it makes re-entering the work week bare-able for all!
- Tuesdays -- Topless (Titty) Tuesday. Flash those tatas and let everyone get a squeeze... or at least give them a chance to applaud your spectacular rack!
- First Wednesday Of The Month -- Woman Crush Wednesday. Yes, a shameless rip-off of TC Tackleberry's great alternative for Wednesday. Every male photographer loves taking photos of the glorious babes that dance and twitch across our Flickr pages. But there are some amazing, solid female photographers out there too, and they love getting together to take shots of each other. This is the day to show your mad skillz at erotica, ladies. Gents, don't fear, we've thought of you too -- get a shot of two or more of your favorite models who are besties In World!
- Second Wednesday Of The Month -- Man Crush Wednesday. Same as above, but this time with the mens :)
- Third Wednesday Of The Month -- We are the World Wednesday. This is a cultural day; the chance to show national pride in your country or culture... or to celebrate that of a country or culture you are fond of. From historical days that are nationally significant, to photos of your avatars as American Indians, Arabian Shieks, or Scottish Highlanders, anything that moves and motivates a great shot! Please note, these should be actual countries and cultures as opposed to fictional....save that for Fantasy!
- Fourth Wednesday of the Month -- Wild & Wacky Wednesday. Get wild, or get wacky! Celebrate this day by showing us your wild side, or your humorous side.
- First Thursday Of The Month -- Themed Thursday: Fantasy. Fairies, elves, folklore....legends and myths. From Tolkien to Beowukf and beyond, whether it is Epic Fantasy showing your version of a Boris Vallejo re-creation, or simply a cute shot of a sexy nymph, let your fantasies shine.
- Second Thursday Of The Month -- Themed Thursday: Paranormal. This is the night for vampires, demons and werewolves. Classic Gothic Horror, or Paranormal Romance. Bring out your darker fantasies and get your favorite Monster on.
- Third Thursday Of The Month -- Themed Thursday: Sci-Fi. Alot of us enjoy dressing up as aliens, in futuristic clothing, or even as Gynoids or using cybernetic arms, legs and other bodyparts. Whether you wanna show off your latest Star Trek or Star Wars getup, or show your avatar in a Dystopian or post-apocalyptic world. Beam us up an awesome photo!
- Fourth Thursday Of The Month -- Throwback Thursday. Get in the groove, baby, and show us the hip look of the 50's, 60's or 70's....any decade that turns you on. Or, let us see your World War II era fighter plane pilot. Or even wear your best skimpy animal skin and give us the prehistoric jungle tour. It's all about eras and decades.
- First Friday Of The Month -- Family Night Friday. That's right...this is the night for love...family love. Couple shots, Twin sisters (or brothers) or simply those of you who like taking photos of those you consider family In-World... particularly of those who are not photographers or models, yet have such a glorious Avatar you have always felt they should be. Note: this is also a great night to introduce a brand new model to the SL Flickr Community... by introducing them to the Cabal ;)
- Second Friday Of The Month -- Fetish Friday. Leather and Lace. Harnesses and chains. Latex painted skin tight over luscious curves. Whether its a sulty shot in Lingerie, a BDSM fashion statement, or Daddy's Babygirl, let's see you in your fetish best.
- Third Friday Of The Month -- Friday in the Studio. We're all about encouraging networking among the membership; this is the day we'd like to see Photographers and Models getting together. If you usually take your own photos, but are curious what another photographer would make a photoshoot of you like, this is the day to find out. Models, you're always looking for great photographers, and vice versa. The Cabal has among its members the very best of each... mix n mingle and show us something hot and original.
- Fourth Friday Of The Month -- It's Good To Be Bad Friday. Good Girls being Bad. Bad Girls who are Bad Ass....or guys for that matter. Show us your naughty good girl or bad ass sides with great themed photos for this day!
- First Saturday Of The Month -- Sim Saturday. Most of us know the amazing locations Sunny's Studio, Surfer's Bay and others like them. But we all also are constantly on the move, roaming all over Second Life to find that perfect setting, all ready and waiting for a photographer with an inspiration burning in their camera lens. I know that Davina has probably logged more avatar-miles than anyone, as she has roamed SL for years for just this purpose. Take a shot when you find that perfect Irish Bar, or Western Saloon or Ranch...darkest Africa jungle...New York City?! Show us what you have found, in the perfect photo, in that perfect setting... and be sure to include the SL\URL!
- Second Saturday Of The Month -- Movie Night. Give us your favorite scene from any movie -- or TV show, musical, play, Music Band...any form of entertainment. Or, simply dress up as your favorite character or celebrity... from Marilyn Monroe to Jessica Rabbit! Guys, Fred Flintstone or Rob Zombie are totally acceptable!
- Third Saturday Of The Month -- Models & Photographers. Everyone has their style...whether it is a style of photography, or the style a model puts together that is commonly or uniquely THEM. Are you typically a beach bunny surfer girl? Do you like to photograph alot of Black and White or night scenes? Show us what makes you you... and maybe even give a little history or synopsis of the why and how of it.
- Fourth Saturday Of The Month -- Superhero Saturday. Similar in nature to the Themed Thursday photos, but perhaps more Cosplay in nature. Show us your favorite superhero or comic characters. Faster than a speeding bullet or simply really hot looking like Catwoman, Deadpool or Harley Quinn, this is the day for it.
- First Sunday Of The Month -- Funday Sunday. All over Second Life, everyday, things are going on. Relay For Life, Breast Cancer Awareness, Pose Fairs, Club dancing... something is always happening somewhere. Did you go and have a blast, and got a great photo of it? Let the rest know with a photo this Sunday, so we can go have a blast too! Please include dates and times and locations :)
- Second Sunday Of The Month -- Showcase Sunday. We have made the claim that we value our Ministers and other venture owners> On this day, we ask that you give us some photos that highlight what you love to do, whether it is your sim, nightclub, store or anything you choose. This is the day for Ads, too!
- Third Sunday Of The Month -- Banner Sunday. Don't be shy! Nothing wrong with making photos for the express purpose of having it placed as a Group Banner. NOTE: If you are unable to mark photos as "Safe" due to being penalized by Flickr, go ahead and mark it Moderate, and with your assumed permission, I will grab it and re-upload it in my own feed as Safe, thereby making it possible to make it into the group banner. Today I showcase Adria Renee as Agent Peggy Carter.
Peggy Carter is a fantastic character in the Marvel Universe because she is portrayed in a time when women were only supposed to be housewives and still considered inferior to men. She not only proved herself to be not only equal to a man but smarter and tougher to a man in virtually every way. And she did it without having to prove it to everyone else because deep down she knew what she could do and knew what she was worth.

Locally people know this as BYT, The Big Yellow Thing, and according to my niece some of her fellow students refer to it as Archimedes’ Balls. It has an official title ‘Galway Yellow’ and was presented to the University by P.J. Carrol & Co. Ltd., along with the Arts Council. Since then it has been placed on Galway City Council’s protected structure list. While that might surprise many of those who pass by the sculpture every day, it’s worth remembering that, as a representative example of King’s early work and of ‘modern’ Irish art in the 1970s more generally, Galway Yellow has a value beyond the intrinsic merits of the piece itself.
Brian King was born in Dublin in 1942, he studied in the National college of Art and Design in Dublin , where he lectured for a number of years and, and then became the Head of the Department of Sculpture from 1984–2004.
He participated in the Irish Exhibition of Living Art from 1964 to 1978, won the Carroll’s Award 1965, And served as its President for the last ten years. In 1969 and 1983 he represented Ireland at the Paris Biennale, on the former occasion becoming the first Irish artist to win the major individual prize. His public commissions are typically large-scale metal sculptures in an abstract, minimalist style, based on simple geometric forms.
Solo exhibitions include Dawson Gallery, Dublin (1968,74,75); Ulster Museum , Belfast (1973); Project Arts Gallery, Dublin (1980); Taylor Galleries , Dublin (1979, 82,88,90) and the Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin (1982). He has participated in major group exhibitions across Ireland and Europe, and his work is held in public collections including The Hugh Lane Gallery of Modern Art, Dublin; Crawford Municipal Gallery, Cork; RTE; Bank of Ireland; Allied Irish Bank; University of Ulster and University College, Dublin, and Farmleigh House, Dublin.
I know this has been done before, but here is my rendition of the Statue of Boadicea by Thomas Thorncroft juxtaposed against Big Ben. I was determined to just spend the day with my telephoto lens and not continually swap, so this fills the screen a little more than others do.

I know I've posted this pose of Chessie a few times before but here is one more that I took day before yesterday at sunset. There is this corner of my moms backyard where I go to shoot the sunset. There is a big block wall and I shoot from the top of it. Chessie hates being short and when I stand there, she will whine from befow until I lift her up and put her on top of the block wall. It's a different photo because every sunset is different. She loves to see the sunset too.
I know it's pretty much the exact angle of the preceding two. Going to upload others soon, but for right now this will have to do.

The Golden Ratio informs a lot of my art and photographic composition. The Golden Ratio also informs the design of the golden revolver on all the swimsuits and lingerie, as well as the 45surf logo! Not so long ago, I came up with the Golden Ratio Principle which describes why The Golden Ratio is so beautiful.
The Golden Number Ratio Principle: Dr. E’s Golden Ratio Principle: The golden ratio exalts beauty because the number is a characteristic of the mathematically and physically most efficient manners of growth and distribution, on both evolutionary and purely physical levels. The golden ratio ensures that the proportions and structure of that which came before provide the proportions and structure of that which comes after. Robust, ordered growth is naturally associated with health and beauty, and thus we evolved to perceive the golden ratio harmonies as inherently beautiful, as we saw and felt their presence in all vital growth and life—in the salient features and proportions of humans and nature alike, from the distribution of our facial features and bones to the arrangements of petals, leaves, and sunflowers seeds. As ratios between Fibonacci Numbers offer the closest whole-number approximations to the golden ratio, and as seeds, cells, leaves, bones, and other physical entities appear in whole numbers, the Fibonacci Numbers oft appear in nature’s elements as “growth’s numbers.” From the dawn of time, humanity sought to salute their gods in art and temples exalting the same proportion by which all their vital sustenance and they themselves had been created—the golden ratio.

I thought New Year's Day was a good time to do this.
Right. Here goes.
Thirteen things you probably didn't know about me:
- I've pretty much always detested school, or most aspects of it. When I was around 10 I begged my parents to home school me. I'm glad they said no.
- I do not do mornings. My perfect sleeping hours are from 4am - 12pm. I think I've been on time to school about 3 times so far this school year.
- I am very very verrryy shy. I just don't talk to people I'm not 100% comfortable with. The internet gives me a sort of barrier for that. It may seem that it's a tool for me to be someone else with but really it lets me absolutely be me. If that makes sense.
- I have a collosal fear of crustaceans. I don't know how or when it developed but even thinking about lobsters makes me shudder.
- I'm addicted to Yahoo Answers
- I have OCD. When I was about 12 it got really bad and made me do stuff I'll probably never tell anyone about. Nowadays it barely effects me - I just have a numbers thing..when I'm walking or sitting with people I like to be in the middle and with things like volumes they have to be on an even number. I also don't like stuff that doesn't match.
- A few years ago I desperately wanted to be an actress. I thought it was the only thing I'd ever want to do. Now I think I'd hate it.
- I'm still awaiting my first kiss
- I have around 14 nieces and nephews and 2 great nieces.
- My initials are G.I.R.L
- On every 1st of the month I pinch myself because I once heard it brings you luck for the month.
- The only food that causes me to gain any weight is cheese.
- I can't stop watching Hannah Montana. I hate it. It's absolute poo and not funny but I can't. stop. watching!
Week 42 - January 1st 2008.
I know they're all staring at me. I'm so used to it. And I still like it, of course. And I know I have to deliver my presence, that's what they are here for, today. Unemotional, unafected, attractive. I shouldn't disappoint them now. And I won't.
All hope that light to remain red for hours or months. Or maybe not all.

i know the quality on these isn't very good, and the poses needed were a little awkward. it's for a friend that's going to make them into some paintings, so his ideas were a little hard to interpret. it was my first shoot w/ a person and i'm not used to artificial lighting! lamps are NO good i need the sun :( but i did the best i could and am still learning. she's not a professional model either so i had to coach her through all the shots.
imagine that the stuffed cow is really a tiger's head. she's supposed to be petting it. i don't know.

get on the intersection, manual on your leica, feel the cars behind you swerving to avoid you, hearing the taxi hare hare to tell you to get out of the way..., but hey..., you waited one year to get this shot and the sky is clear today and you have to click, click, click.
a fraction of a second, it's all you need.
Norio knows how comfortable his nest is. Looking at older pictures, I realized he always favored this blanket, which probably explains why he still does - it has his odor and is soft and warm.

Usually I know whether a phtograh will be a keeper or a discard when I take a shot. I was totally wrong when I took this photo as I was convinced it would be a discard.
I was walking allong a hedgrow on a sunny but late afternoon. I found a flock of mixed sparrows in deep shadow in the tangled brush so I swtiched to my flash. Suddenly this chickadee perched for a moment higher up but still in shadow, but the background was very brightly lit.
I was able to get one very quick shot bu I knew that I had not allowed time for the lens to proper focus, the lighting contrast was far too extreme to get a decent exposure and that the very bright back ground would be totally over exposed. I was amazed when I saw the result - I cannot explain why the background turned out this way, but I like the result.

I know -- crappy crop...but it wasn't easy to shoot over the heads of 16 gazillion Japanese people crammed on the narrow sidewalk. Despite how she looks here, this girl isn't handicapped mentally or physically -- just a touch of heat stroke, I think.
I know looking a little serious! I was wondering how do you like my new hat? Well not really new I received it last year. It’s made of sheepskin… (I know some will not approve, but it really is beautiful and ohhhh so warm and cozy…. This lovely hat comes from that beautiful little country of Scotland!

The Golden Ratio informs a lot of my art and photographic composition. The Golden Ratio also informs the design of the golden revolver on all the swimsuits and lingerie, as well as the 45surf logo! Not so long ago, I came up with the Golden Ratio Principle which describes why The Golden Ratio is so beautiful.
The Golden Number Ratio Principle: Dr. E’s Golden Ratio Principle: The golden ratio exalts beauty because the number is a characteristic of the mathematically and physically most efficient manners of growth and distribution, on both evolutionary and purely physical levels. The golden ratio ensures that the proportions and structure of that which came before provide the proportions and structure of that which comes after. Robust, ordered growth is naturally associated with health and beauty, and thus we evolved to perceive the golden ratio harmonies as inherently beautiful, as we saw and felt their presence in all vital growth and life—in the salient features and proportions of humans and nature alike, from the distribution of our facial features and bones to the arrangements of petals, leaves, and sunflowers seeds. As ratios between Fibonacci Numbers offer the closest whole-number approximations to the golden ratio, and as seeds, cells, leaves, bones, and other physical entities appear in whole numbers, the Fibonacci Numbers oft appear in nature’s elements as “growth’s numbers.” From the dawn of time, humanity sought to salute their gods in art and temples exalting the same proportion by which all their vital sustenance and they themselves had been created—the golden ratio.
