A horizontal image of a male traveller standing on the cliff looking to the beautiful canyon name Fjadrargljufur in Kirkjubaejarklaustur area, Iceland, in a cloudy day.
This is one of my favorites of him in this hat. The basket has since become used for laundry and both handles have fallen off. I bought it specifically for the shoot.
My wife knitted these preemie baby hats for a knit-along, and we documented them before she donated them today. I'm 20 minutes early, but this is probably #143. (composite of five images)
what do you think of these hats? honest opinions much appreciated.
edit: now available in my shop. :)

In my beanie, at midnight, playing with lighting in the garage. My beard is getting big! Every time I look at a picture of it I can't decide if I'm going to shave it all off or not.
Lighting:
Key - 16" Beauty dish with grid camera left
Fill - 70" parabolic silver umbrella with 2 speedlights gelled green on camera axis
Rim - Bare speedlight camera right and behind me gelled orange
Winter Frost.
I will demolish the winter house
and the summer house;
the houses inlaid with ivory will be destroyed,
and the great houses will come to an end.

This was taken through my dining room window. My friend Anya knit the hat, and her grandmother knit the gloves. The sweater was a $2 thrift find. Inspired by Sarah Ann Loreth's incredible picture "I never wanted to die".

Is the Man Saying, '' Oh No! '' -- or is he simply securing his headgear against the wind ?
The sidewalk appears strangely "naked," that is, snow-free...as New York City has had a cover of snow consistently since Jan. 23rd. And now, we have truly Arctic temperatures to boot, so no chance of any "meltdown" on the horizon!
Meanwhile, back to the photo.... I like its huge centerpiece of red, quite appropriate indeed for Valentine's Day! Taken on 181st St., on the steep hill descending towards the Hudson River. At first, I thought the person depicted in the shop window was the singer/musician named Prince, but now I'm not so sure.
I like the subtle, nearly-invisible reflection of a nearby tree and and its branches in the window...

Taken on January 5, 2015, on a warmer day and more innocent era--two days before the Jan. 7th Charlie Hebdo attacks, and four days before the attack on the Kosher grocery store in Paris, on Jan. 9th--two events that have affected me deeply, which I'm still recovering from, and which weigh quite heavily upon my heart.

I love taking photos of photographers taking photos. This photographer took a photo of a companion standing the mist at the base of Skógarfoss in South Iceland. In order to get his shot and avoid the crowds gathered at the bas of the falls he took his shot while standing in the Skógá River. After some coaxing, he got his subject to stand on some rocks at the edge of the river while he set up the shot and took a number of images. She looked a little aprehensive in the photos I took of her. The waterfall is the last and most spectacular of a series of falls that are found on the Skógá River as it heads down the edge Eyjafjöll ( The Island Mountains). As it falls over the last cliff it creates a falls 203 feet high (62 meters) and almost 50 feet (15 meters) wide.
Spent most of the day embroidering the little felted kitty hat I knit for Blythe and I just hate it. It's all wrong....so then I spent the remaining part of the day ripping it all out.
So nice to be productive. >___<
