I've made this hat one or two other times, and even though it does take a lot of time with the tight and frequent cabling, the traveling cable and the bobbles, it's what makes this hat so fun to make.

As I'm sure my SPs will show in the coming weeks, autumn is my favorite season!
Porter Update: he's doing fantastically well. He eats all the time, sleeps when he's not eating, and fills his cloth diapers to no end. He is starting to smile, which makes my eyes water every time. He hates sleeping in his bassinette, which is causing a problem for my husband and I; Porter needs the warmth of our bodies to feel at peace, not the cold, hard baby matress. I'm afraid we're setting a horrible prescident for months and years to come...but, at the same time, I love feeling his soft skin against my own. :)
Here's Quirkee showing off her vintage Skipper skirt and jumpsuit, "Rik Rak Rah". Wearing her magic goggles, as always, and dragging along a tiny dolly friend. Legwarmers are vintage Skipper from the eighties (they were mine!)
Also, trying some new digital filters on my DSLR... I loooove the colour extraction filter! (Can you tell? :P )
