For Thanksgiving dinner, my wife made homemade crescent rolls. Here the rolling pin is sitting on some partially flattened dough.
I have always enjoyed the smell of coffee brewing. My Mom drank coffee, my grandmother and my wife also drinks coffee. I have tried it many times and just can not acquire a taste for coffee. I wanted to participate in this week's Flickr Friday so I set up sort of a still life with coffee items we have in the house.
Happy Bokeh Wednesday!!
Tonight was busy. I tried a couple shots with motion for the ODC, but couldn't come up with anything presentable. I do have a killer shot (in my mind) but that will have to wait until Friday as I have a partner in dis crime yo.... So...motion....your day will come.
Anyway, I must have sat and stared and stared and stared at this coffee mug with piping hot fresh coffee in the pot.......but no cream :(
On a good note, my shipment from B&H should be here on Friday. Got a set of (.6, .9, 1.2) Hoya ND Filters, a couple reflectors and some CTO gels for da strobes so I'm kinda excited...
No strobist setup shot tonight....sorry folks

If Henry finds a comfy place, he curls right up. Today the comfy spot was on the kitchen counter. But, he looks sooo cute!
I bought a bottle of red wine for Jim about a week ago and we opened it up last night before dinner. It was a Sibaris, Pinot Noir (Chilean wine) it was amazing!
I haven't had a red wine this good in a very long time....
This water goblet is another piece of interesting glassware that I recently found at a very inexpensive “second hand” shop. The bowl is clear glass, but the stem and base are made of green glass. I shot this photo in our kitchen on 2/06/2016, using a Canon PowerShot A1000-IS.

Here's my kitten Claudia, standing guard on the kitchen counter. What a considerate little kitty - she's guarding my library book and the receipt for my new car tires! :-D
In that moment his words filled me with a new sense courage and I said yes to doing the book shop event. Now I'm awfully nervous.
My kitty, Linguine, seems to forget that her tongue is hanging out of her mouth. We find this endlessly amusing, even when she's walking where she shouldn't.

My wife baked a banana cake yesterday. I saw this stick of butter on the counter and snapped a couple of pictures.
Thin-crust pizza and a glass of Chardonnay for dinner. Cheers to your weekend!

The "after" shot. As always, disaster lit a fire under me to do something I'd been meaning to do (for FOUR years!). Now if I can just get it painted.

I have always loved fried rice of any kind. My Hexclad Wok is perfect for making this dish.,
ahh, again he was perfectly positioned on the kitchen windowsill , But moved to the counter once i got the camera. I must work on my stealth techniques . From his expression you would think he was staring down Dog next door, but really it was just the mail lady. :P I have so many photos of this side of Tre's face. He says it is his best side, but i disagree, i think all his sides are just scrumptious!! ;)
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!!!
A recreation of my Reject from Day 56
I think I like the lighting and my pose in this a bit more.
I was waiting to re-do this picture until it fit, and now it does. Things in my life aren't so much crazy as they are ... odd.
Sometimes, I don't even know what I'm doing anymore.
Ever feel like you're wasting precious time, by not even doing anything ?
Maybe I'll figure it out soon. For now, I'll sit on my counters.
Low fat chocolate cake with yogurt, applesauce and egg whites. I was expecting something disastrous but got really surprised with the soft texture :)
