Sun Exposure: Light shade to shade, if any direct sun, morning sun only.
Origin: Highland plateaus of Mexico (Oaxaca, Hidalgo), but cilutivated throughout Latin America
Growth Habits: Epiphytic cactus, with long hanging stems, up to 4 feet long (120 cm) or more, up to 1 inch thick (2.5 cm); 7 to 14 ribs; 15 or more yellow spines per areole.
Watering Needs: Keep the soil mixture moist all the time. Water abundantly in summer. Needs good drainage
Propagation: Cuttings that bloom in 2-3 years, or seeds
The plants found as "Aporocactus flagriformis", have wider stems, 0.4 to 1 inch in diameter (1-2.5 cm); 7 to 12 ribs, 4 to 5 central spines, and 6 to 8 radials.
Aporocactus leptophis has stems 0.3 to 0.4 inch in diameter (7-10 mm); 7 or 8 ribs; 9 to 14 radials.
Cultural Practices:
The name 'Aporocactus' comes from the Greek for "Cactus that is not penetrable".
This cactus is epiphytic in the wild (it grows in trees). It is perfectly adapted to hanging baskets. Use normal potting soil, it likes an acid soil. Morning sun is ideal.
. The Aporocactus is sensitive to scales and mealybugs. Because of the density of the spines and the fact that it is not always possible to get a good look at a hanging plants, most infestations get overlooked. It is a good idea to make a point to check regularly. The only recourse is to use a systemic insecticide.
Blooming Habits:
The bright pink flowers 1.5 inches long, 2.5 inches wide (4 by 6 cm), are produced along the stems, in spring and summer are sometimes followed by small red fruits. In the wild, they are pollinated by hummingbirds, but in cultivation, they generally need to be hand pollinated.

Stems can be cut, let dry for a few day so that the cut starts healing, and replanted. The best time to do it is in early summer.

There is nothing at all unusual about the popularity of motorcycles in Hong Kong, big powerful bikes are a lot more popular than the entry level 125cc and 250cc bikes simply because here you can get a motorcycle from all the major brands that do 190mph + and 0 - 60mph in 2.8 seconds, fast enough to outperform most supercars and even hypercars in Hong Kong and at a fraction of the price of a typical supercar, it is an easy sale. Scooters, well they are popular for food delivery companies!

well, gotta thank DJH for this, after me asking for advice on removing hot pixels he showed me how its done and then very kindly did this pic for me ( with the hot pixels removed) and also brought out the detail in the wall, thanks again mate, appreciated.
Pelo quinto ano consecutivo, e numa parceria com o curso de Desporto da ESEB, o Gabinete de Apoio à Actividade Desportiva dos SAS do IPBeja associou-se ao “Maio mês do coração”, através do V Keep the Beat 2013 que decorreu no passado dia 27 de Maio no campus do IPBeja. Com este evento pretendeu-se promover a actividade física e combater o sedentarismo. O evento teve como nota dominante a realização de actividades físicas e desportivas, durante todo o dia, destinadas a toda a comunidade IPBeja.
Dividido em 2 partes o evento contou no período da manhã, com a demonstração de Ginástica Acrobática por parte dos alunos de 1º ano do curso de desporto da ESEB. No período da tarde, as actividades que predominaram foram as actividades de Fitness, desde o Jump, Slide, Step, Treino Funcional, Spinning, Trainee Workout, localizada e entre outras. O período da manhã contou com cerca de 50 participantes e o período da tarde com cerca de 100 participantes.

The WWII Memorial has about a dozen of these signs. They have an elegant design, but they're still stupid. "Please Respect the Memorial; Keep Out of Pool Area." I guess they had to call it a pool "area" because otherwise it sounds like a swimming pool. But this is a design issue that should have been addressed before the memorial was built. I personally like the idea of people wading in pools - even memorials - but if you're against it then build that into your design. Don't build a pool that invites people to dip in and then barricade it with annoying signs!
