An evening flight from Zurich to Nuremberg with SWISS European RJ100. A perfect time to gaze out of an airplane window as the sun starts to drop in the sky causing some interesting lighting on the surrounding environment.

May 8, 2013 was Jerusalem Day and to celebrate, United with Israel hit the streets along with the names of over 100,000 supporters who have signed the Jerusalem Declaration! The signers of the Declaration agree that Jerusalem must remain the undivided capital of Israel, which was declared by the modern day State of Israel and heralded by King David over 3000 years ago.
As the crowds began arriving in the Old City along with the proud marchers waving their flags, we too proudly hung our banner on the millenia-old Jerusalem walls. We placed the names of the signers on our banner so they could be a part of the event! If you look closely, you might just see YOUR name!
Ancora una volta un ritratto con effetto Dave Hill. Per l'illuminazione sono stati utiilizzati due flash (destra e sinistra del soggetto) e un faretto da 500w a luce calda. Dimenticavo, anche parecchie bottiglie di Guinness.. vuote // Another "Dave Hill effect" portrait. Two external flash and a continuous-warm-500w light source were used to light the subject and freeze the mid-air PS3 controller. Ah, many (nice!) Guinness beers were useful for the shot..
Ava did pretty well holding the umbrella this time, but I did have to help her put it back over her head a few times.

This grebe was nesting very close to the visitor centre and therefore on constant alert for the many ducks and geese swimming nearby.
The Treatment Rooms, a mosaic work by Baroness Carrie von Reichardt, Fairlawn Grove, Chiswick. The garden wall is a memorial to Luis Ramirez who was executed by the state of Texas.

The same train from the precious shot is getting a good roll as it has just crested Soldier Summit about a mile or two ago. Keep out, and no trespassing sign's were a common site on this trip, but it just added to some of the challenges of shooting this mountain railroading.

I know no one smokes in their house anymore, but this piece just looks great - classy, sophisticated, harkoning back to another time when things were ... different. Heck, you don't even have to smoke, just set this by your front door and keep your keys in there. or something.
