journal pages from my journal Flora. Blogged: caatjesartsystuff.blogspot.nl/2015/02/the-last-journal-sp...
Finished page that I posted last week. My own stencil, vintage ledger paper, packing tape from a new hand-held scanner we just got in at work, a scrap of a transparency run through a label maker, scrap of paper rubber stamped at work and a negative from the '70's.
Nicole from wayfaringart on etsy is a delight to work with. I contacted her to make a custom journal and this is the result. I adore it. :)
This is my first ROTD journal. For the cover I used a canvas fabric and left over pieces of red, black and denim fabric. Lots of stitching and embroidering.
For the three signatures, I used scrapbookpaper, pages of my old study books, a 1948 cookbook, envelopes and more.
I created this cover on my journal, which I think will make a great Gratitude Journal. To read more, visit red Ravine post This Thanksgiving Weekend, Make A Gratitude Journal.

This is just a random mishmash of a lot of different stuff. The Unicorns in the top corner cracked me up...not what you usually think of when you think of a unicorn. The face is from Tesha Moore's journal art pages. She has some awesome stuff. Pastels, watercolor, clippings, metallic marker, crayon, colored pencil, sharpie.

This was created for the "journal page postcard" swap on swap-bot. I really had a lot of fun with this style.

I have been asked numerous times to share my journals. These sketches are the preparation I do before watercolor painting. I work out compositional problems on the sketch, study the values, and they become my map to the painting.
