This is my first ROTD journal. For the cover I used a canvas fabric and left over pieces of red, black and denim fabric. Lots of stitching and embroidering.

For the three signatures, I used scrapbookpaper, pages of my old study books, a 1948 cookbook, envelopes and more.

Cover image is a photo (my bro-in-law took the picture in his front yard) that I enhanced with watercolor & ink, then sealed with gel medium. Carol Sloan (carolbsloan.blogspot.com) taught this technique using paper & fabric to create a journal. Great workshop.

The BIG BIG day was ended up with a long journey for ice-cream !!! After a half-day working, promised Ko for a big cone but unbelievably but kind of expected, every where are so crowded !!! It was a super long journey of finding a corner to just sit and eat. The bid day was ended with having a cone at HOME !!!
