Took my journal camping with my last July. Found some wonderful flowers and fluffy green moss on the trees at Buck's Lake. This is one of my favorite pages...

A tiny travel journal for our trip to Prague in the spring 2004. Lots of sketches and dreams.

This is an illustration of a weird dream I had. I was sitting on the Charles Bridge and my legs started to melt and stretch and there was a lot of blood too. The opposite page is just some random ranting about money and alcohol

No plan, going with the flow on this page.

To read, hover over the journaling. Going through old photos with my parents; what an education in history, culture, and just family! It's amazing how photos bring stories to mind - love them!

My red herrings were occasional pictures stuffed in with others that really had little to do with my family - neighbor kids, students in my mom's Sunday School class (she's been teaching it for longer than I've been born!), people just in the background!

for the group art-journal love. create 10-15 loose journal pages of any size and attach them using 2 large binder rings.

these are some of my favorite pages of the journal i sent my partner. i never got a journal in return T^T

this is a little profile type intro page. it's one of my absolute favs ♥ the background was made using a manga page.

Click to enlarge. Hover over the picture to see embedded notes that lead to photos of certain items/scenes.

p.16 Back in Kolkata where we head to Kewpie's for a Bengali dinner. A waiter with Aspergers hovers too close and repeats the same exact thing to every table. He breathes heavily. Trying Sahar's recommendation (bhetki paturi) and much more food than is pictured here.

p. 17 A sweet dog family walks in front of us when we leave Kewpie's. Shopping at Dakshinapan and cooking class with a real character named Santanu.

To have success you need to have dreams to strive for. Our DREAM journal is designed and created to fuel people's dreams, encourage them to set high goals and believe in their own abilities. Small quotations on the corner of each page with plenty of blank space for writing.

I've been trying to do sketches of my kids in my journal. I've had a hard time motivating myself to write often, but now I really look forward to it.

These are drawn loosely and quickly, I try not to spend much time on them so, some of them do look a little rough. Also, they've gotten a little more refined and the character styles a little more consistent.

This is what a whole page looks like.

And, yes, I stole this idea from Chris Ware as noted in Danny Gregory's 'An Illustrated Life'.

I swapped with squidtrick on the www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=71931.0.

A closeup of the colophon. ("This paperbag journal was made by xamonster for the craftster.org Penpal Journal Swap in January 2006." "The swappers were xamonster and squidtrick.")
