I took the plunge...last night, I decided to further alter this purse by journaling on it. It was SO MUCH FUN!

This is a journal I filled during a vacation on the island of Texel in march 2015.

On thanksgiving we went up to our families cabin in the woods and while we were there my cousin and I did riding on our ATV. We did a lot of journal wrecking and one of the things we did was tie the journal to the ATV and dragged as we drove.

This is what the journal looked like after wards. It got all scratched up and came apart.

journal collage entry

Just have to find the right words for this page now. I still might add another layer of stencilling yet.

Gesso, acrylic paints, Neocolour crayons, black marker, paint pen. Crafters workshop and Diane Reavley Dylusions stencils used. Images from great Musings @ Etsy. Torn scraps of specialty paper also collaged. The yellow came out brighter than I envisaged.

A blank journal for my sister. I have been dying to use this wallpaper for something for a long long time and now I had a good excuse. It did have an awesome exposed binding, but by the time I was done it didn't anymore.

Today was a yellow day. Left character inspired by Jon Carling. His work is so inspiring :) Central mouse is a doll I bought in a market in Taipei. The original is cutest though. Right part - just imagination.

This is a Art Journal I made my friend for Christmas. The cover is a 9 x 13 canvas, Textured, Sealed with Gesso and hand painted with washing of Gold, Dioxazine Purple and Naphthol Crimson. The accented with inspirational words, images and small square mirrors. Then the final touch gold glitter paint to bring it all together. Jan. 2008

During our eight week ceramics course I kept a journal. We were meant to be looking for inspiration from ancient Cycladic and Minoan forms, so I often spent time during the week sketching ancient pottery and frescoes for my own interest. Here are a few pages from my journal.

I created this cover on my journal, which I think will make a great Gratitude Journal. To read more, visit red Ravine post This Thanksgiving Weekend, Make A Gratitude Journal.

Nature warms to Spring's sun at St Mary's ruins at Cefn Meiriadiog between Henllan and St Asaph. The star shaped holy well for which St Mary's was known is shaped in the fashion of another well at St Winifride's, Holywell.

According to The Journal of Antiquities, the chapel and well were built in the 13th century, and rebuilt in 1500 along with the octagonal, star-shaped well-basin and attached cistern (bath).

About this time, Lady Margaret Beaufort (King Henry VII's mother), had built a chapel overlooking St Winifride's Well in Holywell, and there is some speculation that Lady Beaufort may have had an interest in St Mary's, too - the evident craftsmanship at St Mary's would have needed a benefactor of some means.

The Well's spring water flowed through along the inside western wall of the chapel

As was the way with so many Roman Catholic institutions of its time in Britain, St Mary's fell prey to the chaos of the Reformation.

This is my current journal and it is also made with misc scraps of paper from around my house.

It is hand sewn and the cardboard cover is salvaged from work trash.

WIll add journaling later because I think I want to keep it private.
