We teamed up with Joining Hearts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing housing support to people living with HIV and AIDS in Atlanta, to host the charity's annual Valentine's Day themed, Love on the Rocks event at our Atlanta showroom on Sunday, February 8. The sold-out event was a huge success, raising nearly $25,000 from ticket sales and the silent auction! Thanks so much to the amazing community in Atlanta and all our friends that came out to support!

Today I joined the Uquilair/Railmagazine rolling new years reception with the special train that ran through the Randstad. The train was pulled by RailExperts 9902, that has a special Tommie & Tess paint scheme. This scheme is a cooperation between Uquilair Publishers, RailExperts and Roco/Fleischmann aiming at promoting the (model) train hobby amoungst youngsters. Uquilair is publishing a series of Tommie & Tess youth books and Roco/Fleischmann has announced h0 and N scale models. The pictures were made in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Uitgeest, Beverwijk and Haarlem.

De trein werd getrokken door de RailExperts 9902, die een speciaal Tommie & Tess uiterlijk heeft gekregen. De beschildering is een samenwerking van Uquilair, RailExperts en Roco/Fleischmann en bedoeld om de (model)spoorhobby te promoten onder jongeren. On Saturday, November 15, Monterey joined the nationwide protest of the passing of Proposition 8 in California. The event began at 10:30 AM at Colton Hall, the birthplace of the California Constitution and concluded in a march through downtown Monterey to Window on the Bay.
In 1849, California’s first constitutional convention was held at Colton Hall in Monterey, California. This historic landmark is now the oldest continually used municipal building in California.

Joined the Great Saunter on 05.03.14, the one day each year when the members of Shorewalkers walk around the perimeter of Manhattan, covering 32 miles of the city's coastal edge. The walk started with a registration at the Fraunces Tavern in lower Manhattan but I was about 10 minutes late and joined the group in Battery Park City. These were the pics I took while walking along the east side of Manhattan. Unlike the west side which was straight walking, the east side of the greenway has some parts not accessible to pedestrians. I would like to see the day when the Manhattan greenway will truly be accessible to all.
