Re-enactment of a scene in Disney's ''Oz The Great and Powerful''. China Girl pleads with the Wizard to join in the hunt for the Wicked Witch, and he finally relents. China Girl 4'' mini doll and Oz (Oscar Diggs) 12'' doll, both by the Disney Store.
Description of each shot in this re-enactment (which is a condensed version of the movie scene):
Shot #1: China Girl - ''But, I want to go with YOU."
Shot #2: Oz - ''On a witch hunt? Nah, you're just a little girl.''
Shot #3: China Girl - ''I'm coming with you!''
Shot #4: China Girl, after Oz says no, starts crying - "You're going to leave me, alone? On a road, in the middle of nowhere?''
Shot #5: China Girl runs, crying, towards Oz, who asks Finley ''She's crying again. What do I do?''
Shot #6: China Girl clings to Oz's leg while sobbing.
Shot #7: China Girl, while crying - "Please let me go with you! I promise not to bother you."

Join us for a conversation with leading Euromaidan activist, former Ukrainian Parliament member, and acclaimed pop star Ruslana Lyzhychko as she discusses the role of civil society in promoting peace in Ukraine. The Euromaidan movement, begun in November 2013, grew out of widespread citizen demand for more transparent and accountable government, and ultimately led to Viktor Yanukovich fleeing the country. While most international attention has focused on the subsequent Russian invasion of Crimea and the ongoing war in the east of Ukraine, this meeting offers an opportunity to discuss other important political developments in Ukraine including Parliamentary elections scheduled for October 26.
Ruslana became a prominent figure in the Euromaidan movement through nightly patriotic sing-alongs, and her constant presence on the front lines of the protests. In recognition of her leadership and bravery, Ruslana has won several awards including the Secretary of State's International Women of Courage Award and the Atlantic Council's 2014 Distinguished Humanitarian Leadership Award for her leadership in the 2004 Orange Revolution and the pro-European Union protests that followed. On September 9, Ruslana will receive the International Republican Institute's Freedom Award, established in 1995 to honor individuals who have worked to advance freedom and democracy.

These are fabrics that I have selected from my stash to use for Rachel Griffith's Synchronized Squares Quilt Along. The fabrics are actually a combination of RJR's Art nouveau collection and Art Nouveau Revisited, both now out of print. I have been hoarding these and thought its time I do something with them! Members of the Neighbourhood Policing team joined residents and visitors on Friday 5 December for the Hulme Winter Friendship Festival 2014.
The events saw the switching on of the Christmas tree lights, carol singing and a range of other festive activities. A Christmas market saw stalls offering gifts and food.
As well as joining in the fun, the police team was on hand to give out security advice and chat to residents about any issues they might have.
Despite the cold weather, crowds turned out to join in the festive spirit.

I colori dell'autunno sono fantastici, ma sull'Etna lo sono di più. Domenica 6 novembre, approfittando della prima bella giornata dopo più di tre settimane di cattivo tempo, sono salito sull'Etna per una passeggiata pomeridiana. Ovviamente avevo con me la fida Canon, e altrettanto ovviamente sapevo bene dove trovarmi al tramonto. Con il bello o cattivo tempo, chiuso in casa o all'aperto, ormai so perfettamente in che momento tramonta il sole. Come i vampiri, lo sento nelle ossa. Non un vampiro tipo twilight, per carità, piuttosto un vampiro tipo Brad Pitt in "intervista col vampiro". In fondo gli somiglio pure. Nota di colore: attendendo il momento giusto per scattare la foto, ho rischiato l'assideramento. La foto è stata scattata a 1330 metri s.l.m. mentre io ero uscito da casa abbigliato come se avessi dovuto scendere in centro. La testa mi si è congelata al punto che ho preso a rovistare nel bagagliaio della macchina alla disperata ricerca di un copricapo. Trovo un vecchio cappello di mia moglie e lo indosso. Le chiedo: "come sto?" e lei prende a scassarsi dalle risate, al che capisco che per salvaguardare la mia dignità è meglio toglierlo.

One of the scarves in our new Crochet Lace Scarves Collection.
These scarves add an edgy yet feminine touch to any outfit: equally fabulous “classing up” jeans and a tee shirt as they are paired with a suit for work. Lace works up fast and uses less yarn than more “solid” crochet fabric.
* Papyrus: Papyrus uses a reversible broomstick lace “feather and fan” pattern to create a quick and lacy throat scarf.
* Nicolette: Nicolette is crocheted in only eight rounds, with the final two rounds worked in a contrast yarn to highlight the sculptural picot loops which border the piece.
