A destroyed Kuwaiti satellite antenna is a left over from the Iraqi invasion in 1990. This site is visible a short distance east of Route 80 between the Al-Mutla Ridge and the Iraqi border at Abdaly.
Before the war, the country had four ground satellite stations working with the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (Intelsat) and the Arab Satellite Communication Organization (Arabsat) system. All four stations were destroyed in the war. Smaller mobile satellite ground stations currently handle international telephone calls, data transmission, and live television broadcasts.
Today this place at northern Kuwait has turned into a ghost town, those destroyed satellites are making spooky sounds as the wind blows through those giant deserted structures. It is at the same time very interesting place for photographers that would not be possible to visit otherwise. Just to have an idea of the scale, look at the 4x4 car on the very left site.

Aadite, 9, a boy suffering from a severe neurological disorder and malnutrition, is watching cartoons while lying on a bed inside his home in Kabit Pura, near the abandoned Union Carbide (now DOW Chemical) industrial complex in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, central India, site of the infamous 1984 gas tragedy. The poisonous cloud that enveloped Bhopal left everlasting consequences that today continue to consume people's lives. Aadite's father, Raju, a 1984 gas survivor, died in March 2013 at the age of 32, due to lungs failure. Aadite now lives in a small room with his mother, Lakshmi, 29, who works six days a week as a cleaner, his two sisters Mayuri, 12, Mahag, 7, and his younger brother Anuj, 5. None of the siblings in this family is attending school or any kind of practical education.

Muharraq (Arabic: المحرق) (meaning Place of Ashes), is Bahrain's second largest city, and served as its capital until 1923. The Muharraq Town was established by the Al Bin Ali Utub tribe as early as the late 17th Century.It has long been a centre of religiosity. The city is located on Muharraq Island. The city's origins are ancient, going back to the time of Dilmun some five thousand years ago, but it came to prominence in the historical records during the era of Tylos when Bahrain came under domination of the Selucid Greeks, and Muharraq was the centre of a pagan cult dedicated to the shark god, Awal. The city's inhabitants, who depended upon seafaring and trade for their livelihood, worshipped Awal in the form of a large statue of a shark located in the city.

Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!

Egypt - Cairo - القاهرة - al-Qāhira - Capital of Egypt & Largest city in Middle East - Modern Downtown district - Cityscape along River Nile
A journey through Cairo is virtual time travel: from the Pyramids, the Hanging Church, Saladin's Citadel, the Virgin Mary's Tree, the Sphinx, and Heliopolis, to Al-Azhar, the Mosque of Amr ibn al-A'as, Saqqara, the Cairo Tower, and the Old City. It is the Capital of Egypt, and its history is intertwined with that of the country. Today, Cairo's official name is Al-Qahira (Cairo), although the name informally used by most Egyptians is "Masr" (Egyptian Arabic name for Egypt), from the original name of Egypt's first Arab capital Fustat, Misr al-Fustat, "City of the Tents". It is also titled as "The City of A Thousand Minarets".
The tall building on the right is Cairo Tower (Arabic: برج القاهرة), it is a free-standing concrete TV tower in Cairo, Egypt. It stands in Zamalek district on Gezira Island in the River Nile, in the city centre. At 187 metres, it is 43 metres higher than the Great Pyramid of Giza, which stands some 15 km to the southwest. It is one of Cairo's most famous landmarks.
