100% duck down Men's nevy black down jacket superior quality and competitive price close to the cost

Here you can see the inside collar is solid black polar fleece. I chose this because it's very warm and cozy next to my neck and face when it's zipped all the way up.
I also added front and neck facings made of a solid (non printed) black faux suede. The lining is printed satin , but I didn't want that to show when the zip is partly down like this. I thought that might look too busy, so I wanted solid black "lapels" when it's worn like this. This is the way I would usually wear the jacket unless it got very cold enough to zip it all the way up.

& i realised I was without a diptera picture and the light is fading ... cue a bit of frantic looking under things and hey presto! a leather jacket (crane fly larva). I am sorted! It went back under where it came from after this!
My mother feels my "hobby" has always been looking under stones - started when I was about 1 and I still do it. Beekeeping and fishing seem to fulfill the same kick too - peering into ecological niches that we cant otherwise easily see. With retirement I can see my days of looking under stones getting easier!

You've gotta admit that's some rascal of a Jacket. Taken at a recent Gay Pride Rally, here in Inverness.
With it being summertime, I often have the window in my apartment cracked open. Being on the 14th floor (OK, really the 13th. NYC is apparently a superstitious place and there are very few floors labeled 13) I didn't really expect much to be able to fly up that high but there are often many things that get in.
This weekend, a yellow jacket managed to find its way in and was clumsily flying near the window. There seemed to be something wrong with it because its wings would be flapping but it wasn't leaving the ground. But at other times it was able to fly. I figured it was probably near the end of its life.
Since there really wasn't anything I could do for it, I decided to take the opportunity to take some shots. It didn't seem to like having a giant lens stuck in its face and kept turning around but I did manage to get a couple of good shots. Here is my favorite of the bunch.
Really cool quilted shoulderpads and waist belt. Looks pretty bad ass (if you'll excuse the phrase!)

I paid less than half of retail and it was still more than I could afford. But how could I pass up velvet made of 85% cotton and 15% stainless?
I shot this with a flash so the "shiny" is overexaggerated. You can, however, see it in normal light.
The detailed machine embroidery was completed using quality machine embroidery threads in colors of latte, brown, lime, blue, purple, and taupe to create a stunning design displaying these graceful dragonflies for viewing on the jacket back.

The brooding gray chill of fall has been both refreshing and worrisome. Invigorating, because I enjoy de-mothing the wool sweaters and armoring myself against the wind. The cold has also been an inspiration to research as yet untasted artisan scotches (though I hardly need another excuse). Because my bank statements are often printed in red ink, that’s reason enough to open another bottle. But I’m nervous since the early rains are an ominous sign of what’s in store for the rest of winter. I say this because we had an extraordinarily foggy summer, which if past local seers of weather are correct, means a torrent of wet this winter. Build the ark now.
Seen here in some seasonal professorial garb. Missing, besides elbow patches, pipe, and flask, is the ruler (or perhaps Louisville Slugger) with which to rule any little convicts-in-training. I like Zara as far as brands go; their strength is certainly their jackets and overcoats. But they can go astray in the trouser department, mostly with an anorexic fit to the legs or a waist placed no higher than the colon. Since they are a European company, this might be a simple metric conversion problem. The trousers pictured (forgiving my usual public flaunting of them unpressed) is a winning exception. The Uniqlo cardigan was bought in Tokyo, is a size large, and will no longer fit after a piece of Chicago style pizza. This is amusing because I can, often as not, wear an American small. Although, with my eating-for-hibernation diet of late, there have been less “small” sizes in recent rotation.
