This is actually from yesterday but by the time I got home from Choir, I was too tired to take the shot and went straight to bed.

My first Christmas card came in the mail from my friend Yvette yesterday - whoo hooo!

The cute scarf was a find from a few years back - I thought it went with the SNOW! heading on the letter from my friend. :)

Or at least that's the first thing that leaped to my mind when I saw this beautiful bit of building artwork.

"I like you in that B-Boy Stance."

And now I have Backstreet Boys in my head. Or maybe New Kids on the Block.

Wow, I'm at #300 already - in the home stretch now you good lookin' folks! Thanks for all your comments along the way. :)

Well isn't that nice and welcoming! :)

Thank you to Derek for reminding about Sorauren Park's Monday Farmer's Market! Here is my haul for the day - this doesn't include the yummy veggie roti I had from the Fish Shak nor the fruit ice pop from Augie's Ice Pops & Soups.

Pear-apple cider from Oso Leo Farms.

Cheese herb loaf from De La Terre Bakery.

Greens from Kind Organics.

Oatmeal chocolate chip cookie and cranberry/current scone from Alli's Baked Goods (I think - woman had a lovely accent) but I remember the woman telling me the currants were from Baba Link Farm who was there today too.

I can't remember who I got the cherries from - there were a couple places selling them and they're yummy!

I'm back! I missed yesterday's little thing since it was a crazy day so making it up with a nice chalkboard sign that makes me think of spring as well as lotus flowers and awakening.

I took myself out for sushi after work today to celebrate selling a photo from the Toronto Photo Walks exhibition - whoo hoo!

My grrl Laurie had text me that a couple *really* liked my "Euroslide" shot the Saturday after the opening and really thought they were going to buy it. Over two weeks went by and no contact. Then this week I got an email from the boyfriend asking if the photograph was available for sale since he thought it would make an awesome Christmas gift for his girlfriend. A few emails back and forth and everything was arranged. We met tonight and did the exchange. He promised to let me know how she reacts when he gives it to her! :)

Hooray!

I had the chance to hang out with friends Natalie and Eldon this afternoon for some photography and then we went for dinner together. Wonderful way to spend a day off!

Cheers and thank you both! oxo

These are the people your parents warned you about ....

It's the Little Things #29

... the high school uncool grrl.

But I look back on it and I really can't complain. I had a good circle of friends that stood by me - we were all uncool together so it didn't matter that we weren't part of the popular cliches.

And I think I managed to make up for it later in life. ;)

Thank you to Carol for the sweet prezzie and the very sweet and kind words. Love the card and the cute mushroom pen and I'm certain I'll love the chocolate with some nice tea tonight. :)

It looks like proper warm weather is *finally* here so I gave myself a pedicure and manicure tonight.

Honestly, I almost had a complete dummy moment and forgot that I had started another 365. So this is what you get ... but I am thankful for the nice warm weather too!

The little cyclops caught my eye but then the father and daughter came into my peripheral and I just had to include them. They both made me smile.

Spotted from the Queen streetcar on the way to my friend Dave's photography show. I had to scramble to get my camera out of my bag and wasn't even sure I managed to get the shot in between the structural beams of the bridge we were crossing. Lucky me!

My cousin Rosanna took me to Odette Sculpture Park. Lots of wonderful art pieces to shoot and a whole series of these great park benches carved with tributes to family members and loved ones. Very sweet. :)

Playing a little catch up since I fell behind yesterday and didn't find a little thing with sprinting from work then to run a couple errands for the arts and crafts show for Saturday, then home for dinner and then back out the door to Choir and then home to crash for the night. It was a hectic day but a good one!

I have some love to send out by mail myself ... hopefully I can manage that tomorrow along with my last minute preparation for the show!

Actually, more like an alto note for me.

My friend Andrew told me about a social group called "Choir in a Bar" and I went to my first event tonight. Holy hell - was that ever fun!

I haven't sang in a choir sing about Grade 8 or 9 ... so about 30 years - wow. But choir then was never like this. We sang "Lola" and "Dude Looks Like a Lady"! When the organizers get the songs on the web (in a couple of days), I'll post the link so you can hear us. :)

Of course, I'm so excited about how much fun that was, I don't know if I can sleep! ;p

This past Friday, I went down to the pool to do my first set of laps in just over two weeks since I got sick. I wasn't sure how it would go but I got in 40 lengths. And I didn't die!

I managed another set tonight and would have done more except for the couple that showed up to use the hot tub off to the left there. Then they jumped in the pool and though I was obviously doing laps and they were just chatting to each other, decided to park themselves partly into my path. Sigh. Mental note: no more lengths at 9pm on a Sunday.

But it feels good to be back in the swim of things! :)

We saw this insect flying around the flowers in the garden of the house we were renting in France. I have 'googled' it to no avail so if anyone can tell me what this 'little thing' is (actually it was quite big), I should be most grateful.

Thanks to Zsaj - I now know it is a broad-bordered bee hawk moth - yeah!

Good eye to Michael for spotting this number for me at the bottom of his latte mug.

We met up for dinner and coffee this evening. Good company as always!

And the last meet up for awhile since he's off to Portugal for a long walk:

I had the day off from work. I got up before 7am (yes, that might seem silly on a day off but still better than my usual 6am wake up) and went for a bike ride after a bit of breakfast and such.

Rode out to Humber Bay Bridge and back and then had a full day of work with my friend Derek. :)

TGIF indeed!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

It is one of those things, you know.

I found it fascinating and disturbing at the same time.

I come across dead mice from time to time. Cat's being cat's you know.

It is spring and whilst cleaning the yard I came across this teeny dead one.

Of course I kneel down to get a closer look. That's the fascinating part.

Seeing the ant doing it's thing on the teeny dead mouse's belly disturbed me. Just a little. Obviously not enough to dissuade me from taking a couple of picture's.

Circle of life and all that.

Today, I am just thankful I am not an ant.

Larger is better

Somewhat appropriate for the birthday grrl's 50th party yesterday. Great food, lovely company and my grrl Joanne! Had a fun time - thank you!

Remember those little things and enjoy them in the year ahead my dear! oxoxo

... on your retirement!

Spent a fun evening with Shirley and Gord and a group of my fellow photographers at this dynamic duo's retirement party last night. All the very best to them - I'm certain their time will be filled with adventure, fun and photos!

I'm very proud to report that the TOPW did a very good job at keeping the dance floor busy! Way to go crew! :D
