this is one of my 'rescued' Irises. I collect Irises near deserted fincas out in the country. Some of the irises have survived 30 or 40 years of neglect.

This is, I think, an Iris germanica.

Iris 'Butter Ball' is a historic dwarf bearded with a slight talcum power scent.

The colors in this seasons Iris are unbeatable. Natures choices are unending.

Seen while Puffin watching at Elliston, of course, the puffins were quiet and in their holes/nests!
