Iris and poppies are to me a sign that summer is really here.

There are a whole bunch of these plants which I thought were Tulips growing along my garage..at the place I just moved into,then they bloomed..and thought they were Orchids...After looking them up I now know they are Irises! ...In conclusion I don't know much about flowers. LOL

We went for a walk with friends along the canal du midi on Sunday. Funny to see these irises in flower in winter.

Despite popular opinion, hybrid iris do not revert to the original genus. They only change color through cross pollination. This iris was blue two years ago.
