Monza was born on September 2, 2007 in a french zoo. He was attacked by his father so he had to be separated from his parents. He came to the nursery at the Wilhelma in November were he now lives together with Mary zwo.
Another angle on these silver arrows from the new Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.
The car in front is a W 196 R 2.5-liter streamlined racing car from 1955. Juan Manuel Fangio won the 1955 Italian Grand Prix with this car.
The highlight on the car in the background indicates that the motor sound of this car was currently played while I shot this picture.
I really enjoy the eerie silence of early morning. Everything is calm and quiet and you feel like you're the only person in the world.
I'm happy I tilted the camera at the last second (even though it came out a tad blurry) to get the effect of the curved path.

King Wilhelm I of Baden-Württemberg ordered 1864 one pound of sequoia seeds from the US which was cultivated in the Wilhelma. Most of the trees were later sold to interested individuals and planted all over the country.
After I got invited by aliraza to the group Mosques and muslim Architecture, I just had to check my old slides to find something to contribute... ;)
The Sher-Dor Medrasah (a medieval muslim clergy academy) was built from 1619-1636 at the Registan place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
I found this warning sign at the polar bear area at the local zoo.
Translation: "Caution - The polar bears may throw toys"
Seems like they weren't in the mood for this, when I was there.
As the you seem to like my previous picture of Rocky running in the grass (it is currently #399 on the explore page), I added another one from that shooting. Although it is not perfectly sharp, I like Rockys expression - hope you like it too ;)
This was the best part of my day.
Breakfast: blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry coffeecake. The berries were so fresh that the juices leaked into the cake and stained my fingers. I had to lick them clean.
Then the day got bad.
Silence is something you can't hide. Nothing has been said, yet so many words have filled my head.
Now they completely surround me

Mocha was the runt of the litter. Her mother hid the kittens in moving boxes that were placed in the back of a truck and traveled from Vermont to New York. The people never knew the kittens were in there. The only one to survive was the runt. We rescued her from a Humane Society Shelter almost eight years ago. Despite her congenital heart defect which causes horrible breathing problems and one attack of congestive heart failure she a character...and not afraid of a moving box or two...

Another old picture of our late dog, Toni. Here, he's playing with our rabbit Sammy (which also died some years ago), while being on recovery for his torn ligament.

This is not the skin of the snake from my previous picture, it's the head part of the skin of an egg-eating snake which must have moulted shortly before...
I want a snowfall kind of love...the kind of love that quiets the world...

I woke up in the morning, came out to the kitchen, found a giant serving plate with only these three cinnamon rolls. The rest of the plate had only traces of icing as though fingers had tried to lick it clean.
I like how the icing is smushed up against the plastic.

...Grew up in a town that is famous as a place of movie scenes; Noise is always loud; There are sirens all around...
I work next to the Empire State Building, I get my coffee from inside the lobby every morning, I use it as a way to cut from one side of the street to the other, thus it has lost it's luster.
However, while crossing the street this afternoon, my lunch in hand, I looked up and remembered having drinks on a balcony nearby. The person I was with pointed up at the building, all lit up, and said, "you work there."
Today, watching the hoards of tourists clamor to be near this iconic building, I couldn't help but think about how much we take for granted in life.

And you've washed your hands clean of all of this...
If you add the body wash and the shower gel together it has the most amazing smell and creates the softest lather on my skin. I never leave home without these...

The "old castle" in downtown Stuttgart dates back to the 10th century.
It is located at the "Schloßplatz", between the New Palace and the new Art Museum
I'm working on three projects at the same time, plus my regular duties. In addition, I have insane things on my mind.
All of this leaves little time for eating during the day...
The water I brought with me. The mentos were from a student. The chips were from a co-worker who just returned from his honeymoon.
I kinda wish someone had brought me a whiskey instead of all of that...
