Der Rzepin-Tilburg-Shuttle ist seit Jahren eine etablierte Leistung auf der Ost-West-Achse und der KBS 375. Ursprünglich unter der Leitung von LTE, später VTG Retrack und mittlerweile HSL, sorgt dieser Zug für eine effiziente und zuverlässige Verbindung zwischen Polen und den Benelux-Ländern. Dank der hohen Frequenz stellt er eine attraktive Alternative zum Straßentransport dar und bietet sowohl für maritime als auch für kontinentale Ladungen optimale Lösungen.
Im Einzugsgebiet ist der Zug leider meist nur Nachts oder bei Gegenlicht anzutreffen, sodass etwas Glück nötig ist, um ihn unter idealen Bedingungen zu fotografieren. Am 25.10. ergab sich eine solche Gelegenheit, als der Zug mit mehreren Stunden Verspätung unterwegs war. Neben den tristen Akiem 186ern, ist häufig auch die farbenfrohe 186 364 aka. der Waverider an dieser Leistung unterwegs und konnte in der Kurve vor Ibbenbüren-Laggenbeck festgehalten werden.
A pair of S&S Leasing switchers shove a cut of stacks onto the lead to UP's Centennial Business Park at the east end of UP's Salt Lake City intermodal facility. The switchers, of Milwaukee Road and MStL heritage, are leased by the contractor that switches the ramp for UP.

A westbound stacker on the Devils Lake sub earns a moment of respite as it overtops a hogback before resuming the climb out of the Red River Valley. CP 7017, an SD70ACU in Canadian Pacific heritage paint is the trailing unit. A strong south wind keeps the heat bloom from obscuring the train.
A westbound Canadian National intermodal train curves through English, Alberta, on a sunny August 5, 2016. Leading the train is lone GE ET44AC No. 3045, which will soon be in Jasper Yard for a quick crew change. When they are new and clean(ish), CN’s scheme is pretty arresting.
66532 P&O Nedlloyd Atlas snakes away from Tinsley South Junction and will shortly swing left and cross the Sheffield & Tinsley Canal at No7 lock heading 4E73 00:15 London Gateway to Tinsley Intermodal Terminal.
CPKC’s new daily northbound intermodal, 181, seems to be seeing mild success, with the train I shot on 5/20 being all of 20 cars long with two KCSM GEVOs on the point

Another Sunday, another appearance of 68001 on 4E65 Mossends - Tees intermodal, this time taken at Ravenstruther - the early running just about caught me out. 07/03/21
The station opened on August 3, 1965 as Milwaukee Union Station. Operated by the Milwaukee Road, it replaced their previous Everett Street Depot. The depot was built on West St. Paul Avenue in a modernistic style that proved unpopular quickly after it was erected. In November 2007, the facility was renamed the Milwaukee Intermodal Station following a $16.9 million renovation. The new facility included a larger waiting area with a glass atrium.

NS 211 heads south past 227's train. The 227 had pulled up a little bit through the dark siding here, presumably because they were too long for the controlled siding at Shenandoah Junction. This bought them a bit more length, but also meant they had to open up using the hand-throw switch to get back onto the main. I forget if they did that or if they just reversed through and then pulled out - details like that get lost to the passage of time.

A pair of SD70's lead a stack train through Tower 26 on the West Belt in central Houston.
This train normally bypasses Houston, but today it stopped at BNSF's Pearland intermodal yard on the south side of town to do some block swapping. And after dropping cars for the West Coast, the train continued right through town on its way north.

After doing a crew swap with a relief crew from Grand Junction, BNSF ES44C4 No. 6894 leads this westbound intermodal train out of Bond, Colorado, across the Colorado River into the setting sun at the beginning of the Dotsero Cutoff on August 20, 2019.
5769, 7183 and 6857 head away from Echo UT with a westbound Union Pacific intermodal service.

66005 'Maritime Intermodal One' at Trafford Park Euro Terminal after arriving with 4M83 ex London Gateway in the early hours 03/02/25.
The International Intermodal Center serving the area around Huntsville, AL is situated right next to Huntsville International Airport. Owned by the Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority, the Authority provides its own interesting power to switch the facility. Here is an owned Alco and a leased EMD from Progress Rail of NS heritage.

Travelling south along the Highland Main Line, 67023 is in charge of the 15:12 Inverness - Mossend Safeway train.

The sun has almost completely dropped behind the distant western horizon. The bite of the steady winter breeze feels sharper as the rays of light dwindle. Other than the blowing of the wind, the desert is silent. In the distance, a bright shimmering line appears, slowly, passing beneath the mountains as if part of a distant mirage.
The 'short' 5,500 ft long eastbound BNSF intermodal train descends the Seligman Subdivisions grade on the long tangent between Angell and Canyon Diablo, AZ. Despite travelling upwards of 60mph, the trains movement appeared minimal due to its distance of over six miles from my location at the western edge of Canyon Diablo. The freezing overnight temperatures that February was preserving the results of a recent snowfall on the mountains.
CN 148 passes X149 at Brantford Ontario. This is a shot that is rare to come by on the Dundas Sub with only two intermodal trains a day traversing the line.
NS K82 with NS #8098 & #4001 shove their intermodal cars into Taylor after a rainy trip down from Binghamton.

1116 200 "Demokratie in Bewegung" zusammen mit einer anderen 1x16 am täglichen Wolfurter KGAG der bis Kufstein von TXL geführt wird. Nicht ganz selbstverständlich ist die Top Beladung des Zuges, meistens ist dieser Zug fast leer.

A southbound Missouri Pacific intermodal train behind GP50 3520 and 3518 swings off the Chicago Subdivision onto the Chester Subdivision at milepost 84.2, Gorham, Illinois, USA, 23 October 1982.
Last year when 122/123 were still running between Halifax and Chicago, 122 was more often than not an early morning arrival in Rockingham. On this particular day however, following Hurricane Fiona's destruction, these guys were running quite late, (by over a day or more if memory serves right). For a few days, a number of crossings on both subdivisions were Rule 103G, (stop and protect), and this day was no exception for this poor crew, who was told there would be relief for them long before this. I followed the eastbound from Truro to here, (Oakfield), and it was by far the easiest chase I've ever done on the Bedford Sub. With rest notice filed long ago, Q122 rolls past Mile 24 on the Bedford Sub with 5758 (SD75i) and 2233 (ES44DC) for power.
