In dieser Kirche wurde ich getauft, hatte meine Erstkommunion und Firmung.
In this church I was baptized, had my First Communion and Confirmation.
Heute ist hier bei uns in Bayern das Erntedankfest. Ich wünsche allen einen schönen Herbst.

Oswaldo Guayasamin is an Ecuadorian artist of the second half of the XXᵉ century, designated as an expressionist painter of social realism. Strongly inspired by South American art, he devoted much of his life to painting misery, exploitation, oppression, dictatorship and racism.
This is a daytime interiour shot of the main tower of "De Inktpot" in Utrecht. At the top there are blue stained glass windows. This is the main tower of the building and serves as a straircase.

The guy in this street shot was completely unknown to me!
After taking the shot through the window, I smiled and waved... he waved back... still smiling... and then simply went on with his work.
It was a wonderful, heartwarming moment for me!

The inside of The Market Hall is painted with a 11.000 m2 artwork of Arno Coenen, named Hoorn des Overvloeds (Cornucopia). The artwork shows strongly enlarged fruits, vegetables, seeds, fish, flowers and insects.
The artwork of Coenen was selected out of 9 international candidates. The work was made using digital 3D-techniques. This enormous file of 1,47 terabytes needed special servers, these are also used by Pixar Studios for making animated movies. The digital 3D-animation was separated in 4000 pieces and then printed on to steel. The 4000 steel panels are now on the inside of the hall. Right after the opening in 2014, the artwork got a lot of attention from around the world. Some called it The largest artwork in the world or The Sistine Chapel of Rotterdam.

De binnengevel van de Markthal is bekleed met een 11.000 m2 (twee voetbalvelden) groot kunstwerk van Arno Coenen, getiteld Hoorn des Overvloeds. Deze titel verwijst naar de Cornucopia, een hoorn uit de Latijnse mythologie die overvloed en verzadiging symboliseert. Het kunstwerk toont sterk uitvergrote vruchten, groenten, granen, vissen, bloemen en insecten. Op de achtergrond is ook de toren van de Laurenskerk te zien. De kunstenaar probeerde met zijn kunstwerk "dat kinderlijke gevoel van verwondering dat je had als je vroeger Erik en het Insectenboek las, of Alice in Wonderland" op te roepen. Volgens de atheïstische Coenen is zijn werk "een verering van de natuur, een ode aan het heelal" die hij "minstens zo indrukwekkend en goddelijk" noemt als het scheppingsverhaal.
Het kunstwerk van Coenen werd geselecteerd uit 9 internationale kandidaten. Voor de vervaardiging van de animatie is gebruik gemaakt van digitale 3D-technieken. Voor het renderen van het enorme bestand van 1,47 terabyte werden servers gebruikt die ook gebruikt worden voor de films van Pixar Studios. De digitale animatie werd opgedeeld in blokken en geprint op geperforeerd stalen panelen.
In 2014 ontstond internationale media-aandacht hiervoor. Sommige publicaties noemden het 'het grootste kunstwerk ter wereld' (een bewering die waarschijnlijk niet klopt) of 'de Sixtijnse Kapel van Rotterdam'. Arno Coenen heeft het werk gerealiseerd in samenwerking met een team van zes specialisten.

Bei Gehry hat nicht alles eine direkte Funktion und ist mehr ein Spiel mit Raum, das sich oft einfach selbst genügt ... form follows function aufgelöst ... Zurückhaltung für die Exponate ... keinesfalls ... das Selbstverständnis ... Architektur ist die größte Kunst ;-) ... zumindest in der Dimension ... und der Himmel hilft ... ;-) ...

With Gehry, not everything has a direct function; it is more of a play with space, which often simply suffices in itself ... form follows function dissolved ... restraint for the exhibits ... by no means ... self-image ... architecture is the greatest art ;-) ... at least in terms of dimension ... and heaven helps ... ;-) ...
