An old auditorium inside the Museum Gustavianum, Uppsala, Sweden

Single shot, 50 caliber round. It’s the only round that could pierce through a boarded up window so easily and still have enough force to pierce a body. In order to have that force the shooter could only be at max 1500 meters away. Judging from how accurately his shot hit Talia he must have a thermal scope on his rifle as well. It’s likely he has his sights fixed on me, and yet I still race to Talia before she falls to the ground.

No bullet hole in the wall that I can see. It’s likely the bullet is still inside her. With that I quickly sit her down against the nearby desk. She’s unable to say anything, likely a sign that the shock taking effect. I need to remove the bullet but I can’t do it here without the proper medical supplies to close the wound immediately after I remove it, not to mention that the shooter is unlikely to be alone.

”Talia listen to me.”

”Bruce? Wha…..was….”

”Listen to me clearly Talia. You’ve been shot. Your body is going into shock. I’m going to give you this to counteract the pain.”

Before she can object I remove the syringe from my belt and inject her with the painkiller. It can’t do anything about the bullet but it will keep her conscious so I can keep talking to her. The first bit of advice Alfred gave me following my debut as Batman was that you need to keep the victim talking. Granted I was the victim in that case but it ensured that it was a lesson that I wouldn’t forget.

”Bruce….they’re coming for us….”

”I know.”

”It’s him. It’s…..”

”Ra’s.”

”Leave me Bruce…..I’m not worth….it.”

You can tell yourself that all you want Talia, but it’s not true. You are worth everything to me. I chose to leave you once and regretted it ever since. This time I’m not going to let myself make that same mistake.

As I remove a bandage from my belt and help her to apply pressure to her wound, the front door comes crashing down as two figures clad in black enter the apartment.

They’re here.

”Surrender the woman, deserter. This needn’t concern you.”

Both figures point the tips of their blades towards me. A common tactic taught by the League to assert dominance over an unarmed opponent. Allowing them to see your blade in such close proximity to their person often makes them feel powerless and reminds them that you hold all the cards in this situation.

Unfortunately for them, there couldn’t be anything further from the truth than that last statement.

”She’s coming with me.”

One of the figures take a defensive stance whilst the other keeps the tip of his blade fixed on me. Well at least one of them is smart enough to know that I’m not going to let them take Talia without a fight.

“The master commands otherwise.”

”Well I’m sorry that I have to disappoint him.”

The second figure retracts his blade and takes a defensive stance of his own. Judging from their voices and what I can make out of a body shape it appears they’re both male. Thus they’ll likely favor power over agility. The best method to combating power is to simply outmaneuver your opponent. Easier said than done when engaging two opponents, especially when both opponents are armed and you aren’t.

The figure on the left gives a signal and his compatriot makes the first move. Though everything might appear stacked in their favor I hold the one advantage neither of them possess. I was trained by the Al Ghuls, and they prepared me for situations like this…

The days we spent in Dharwad were full of things to do. We had the great pleasure of playing with the children of the primary "Capitanio" school in Hubli, a town near Dharwad, and there we had the best days of our adventure. We arrived with colours, pencils, baloons and sweets ... and the face in the photo just tells you the kids' surprise.

A big hug to all the kids of Hubli - thanks for your eyes!

What's up my Flickr people. How was everyones Christmas holiday? Hope you all had a good one. I apologize if I haven't visited your streams in a while, I've been very busy lately and haven't had much time to come online. I will slowly be returning and checking out all the stuff I've missed little by little.

This shot was taken inside the Hawaii State Capitol. I've lived on this island my whole life and never knew what the inside of this building looked like. When I walked in I was pretty blown away by what I found. Unfortunately it was raining through the big hole in the roof that night and I constantly got little raindrops on my lens. So I am most likely going to revisit this when it's not raining and shoot during the blue hour.

HDR made from 3 exposures in photomatix. Blended 2 additional exposures back onto the hdr to bring more detail to some washed out parts. Where I shot this I had a lot of blurred water spots only on the left side of the image so I did a symmetry flip to get rid of them. This building actually looked just like this with out the symmetry flip. Finished with a layer of curves, saturation, and unsharp mask.

Have a great new years everyone and I'm looking forward to all the photos of fireworks :)

The Stables, Camden Market, London.

Being a beginner and above all a lazy beginner, I would use a lot the 'Intelligent Autofocus' program of my camera, meaning that in many situations, especially in inside locations, the chip would go bananas or force me to use a high ISO, giving an image of poor quality. That's why sometimes I hesitate to post some picture I like but i can't consider technically perfect. Well, enjoy, if you like it :)

Bueno, pues estas dos canijas son la causa de que esté poco por aquí, ocupan prácticamente todo mi tiempo libre (y el no libre también XD) tienen un mes justo, y me tienen enamoradita perdida *___*

The village/hamlet of Dorothy is located about 20 kms SE of Drumheller in a flat valley bottom within Southern Alberta's famed Badlands Country (Dinosaur history). Some call it a ghost town, now considered one of Alberta's classic pioneer communities. There are two abandoned weather churches remaining, this the Roman Catholic twin the subject of many a photograph through the years.

I've visited on occasion, this particular afternoon I noticed a small crew of carpenters in the middle of renovations inside and out, paint cans and lumber scattered on the site. "It hasn't had this much TLC in many a year and is getting a complete facelift" said one of the contractors, as he asked what my particular interest in this old abandoned tourist clink.

I had a more romantic version in my mind, some storm clouds rolling in to dress up the sky, perhaps that glow of late afternoon light bringing the ordinary to life. I'd simply enjoyed nothing but wide open skies and sunshine during the drive to Drumheller.

"Could you paint me some exciting storm clouds oily into canvas, invite a few singing birds in chorus, and subdue the wind I suggested". He laughed, "You can wish for whatever you like, just be extra careful of those floorboards inside, the paint is still fresh". My PEN felt mighty this day, but within minutes of capturing this image, I was huddled inside, the rain now pitter-patter on the quality roof top. I vaguely thought I heard some bird song as I looked through murky windows. Gazing at the waning grain elevator through the scattered rain drops on the window pane, the impressionistic view seemed all the more remarkable. Inside or out, this was thoroughly enjoyable.

***Thank You for your generous comments and visits

What a haul - I guess I didn't know what all I had.... I also found a box in the laundry room garbage that was full of panties (I wish I could see that woman to thank her, probably 20+ that she threw away alone). Over 45 standard panties, some just lace and super sexy, 15 thongs, 3 g-strings (1 which is just a perfect thread up your crack), 2 "cheeky" style panties, a corset bra, 4 different regular bras, and a tube top bra...

That doesn't include the dress, the few skirts, the sweaters, tops, and everything else I'm thankful for people leaving...

PLEASE, no multi invitations or self promotion in your comments, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE for anyone to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks - NONE OF MY PICTURES ARE HDR.

I just liked the shapes and wood grain...

This is the floor that we walked on when entering the lower part of the palace. It is wooden so it would be not hard on the horses that entered here also.

As much interior as my camera could take in at St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican City. The size of this church was astonishing.

New York City's 5th Avenue Presbyterian Church sanctuary. I've walked by this countless times and never went inside until today now that i'm attempting to shoot all Manhattan church interiors. Its a rather unique structure with an interior not unlike the "mega-church" style of today however it more than compensates with an incredible ceiling, balcony, and organ.

I wonder what the inspiration was behind this handmade ceramic sculpture. It reminds me of art influenced by Mexican folklore around celebrations like Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Is it an illustration of the impermanence of life passing over to death? Or is it a cautionary tale against taking anger and negativity with us to the grave? Perhaps it's trying to say that humanity can be found within even the darkest aspects of ourselves.

Katniss arrived to me by mail earlier this week. I've wanted her for a while, but I had to wait until she finally got priced down after months... Ken and Midge moved in just today, after a TRU-visit. Can't wait to throw Midges fashions on Katniss to create my own version of my favorite PLL character (Spencer Hastings), since the doll reminds me a lot of actress Troian Bellisario ;-)

"Illustrate or show depth of one kind or another in a photograph today."

Hmm. I'm cheating. This doesn't really show depth, unless you count the shallow depth of field. I wanted to go outside and do a landscape shot with everything in focus front to back, etc, but it is blustery and grey. I decided that staying inside in my cozy wool socks was the better option. Depth of field, it is.

Harcourt monuments at All Saints old church at Nuneham Courtenay.

Nuneham Courtenay, All Saints Old Church

In the 1760s the 1st Lord Harcourt built a model village along the main road, having demolished the old village and its church to make way for a landscaped park. This church was then built as a domed Palladian temple with an Ionic portico to ornament the landscape: its site overlooking the Thames is indeed magnificent. The portico fronts a blank wall and the entrance to the church is at the west end: inside there are 17th and 18th century Italian fittings introduced in the 1880s, and effigies and busts of the Harcourts.

Yeah I am the young age of 46 today oh how I wish it was my 25th birthday instead,

This was taken last night by my phone camera and I am very pleased by how it came out. All I have to do now is get a nose job.....maybe not I can't do the whole pain malarkey!

This outfit has a slightly Arabic look and would really go well in a Bedouin tent. I might have to give that one a try in the summer.

I eat Sushi in the end. I guess it must be very expensive. But it was be really good price. And I could eat "Inside fatty tuna" This is really expensive. I don't know you like. But almost Japanese people really like it. I'm so happy yummy yummy (^O^)

築地に来たんだからやっぱり寿司を食べないと!と思い思い切って¥1280の中握りを頼んでみました。これが最高でした。トロ一貫と鉄火がトロでした。コストパフォーマン良すぎですね!

'Ah! lLook who finally wake up!'

'Wha.. Where am I? Who are you!'

'Where you are and who I am is of no importance right now. You can call me Spellbinder.

As I looked across the room I noticed a few things, the first things where the giant machines in the back of the room, simply one of the most scariest things I've ever seen. The machines had children flying around inside of them, all smiling, like they were having a nice dream.

'I brought you for a reason, of course. You, Two-face, you have one of the most incredible minds that I've ever came across. A completly split personality! Of course there are other people like that, but you easily stand out of the rest!'

As I let the freak continue talking, I noticed a crate close to one of the macines, including a sword and some other stuff that my men most likely took out of the museum before..

Before what? what actually happened?

'Now, If you would do me a favor, and look into my eye..'

I jumped for the sword, the guy didn't expect me doing something stupid like this, apperantly he is used to handeling with kids.

But the second I held the sword in my hand, something, changed.

'You made a big mistake Two-face..'

'I am not Two-face, I am Gotham's final hope, Gotham's only hope.'

'I am the Judge. And you have broken the law'

The Judge (Two-face) moves from 20. Flugelheim Museum to 134. Stone Virtual Reality Service using the Bat-token 'Superhero Cape'.

Superhero Cape: You may transport yourself to any territory in this city, regardless of distance. This may be used in conjunction with a takeover, although you may not land onto occupied territory.

This quilt top has great I Spy potential: foxes, whales, bicycles, toasters, scissors, etc. The 3" hexies and equilateral triangles were super easy to cut using Marti Michell acrylic templates.

Many proud men and women that served this country, have passed through these halls. We all have many things In common, mostly pride in our country and ourselves. With the continued erosion in the morality of our society it’s difficult to maintain that pride. But, we who have served know who and what we stood for, no one can take that away.

During this Memorial weekend, take a moment away from your new cell phone, tablet, laptop, big screen TV, barbeque or shopping spree. Take a moment to think about how you really support our troops. Many say this with a bumper sticker, window decal, political speech and that’s as far as it goes. If you really support them; support them by bringing back our rights, constitution, morals and values they serve for. Support them by taking the time to thank the families they leave behind, their spouses and children that make as many sacrifices. These same spouses, mothers and fathers that care for them when our own country wont. Support them by removing our self-serving politicians from office.

This picture was taken at the VA Hospital in Fresno, California during one of my visits. I was between appointments; I had my Fuji X-E1 in the Jeep and thought I would take some photos. As soon as I started taking pictures of the exterior of this beautiful hospital; I had a young woman in a red polo shirt, run up to me and say “You can’t take pictures”. I said I’m a photographer, this is a Federal Building, I’m a Veteran and I’m going to take pictures of it. Once she realized I was going to stand my ground she scurried away. I took a few exterior shots, the sun was extreme and I went inside to take a few interior. The interior is also quite beautiful, so off I went. I get to a hallway that’s full of vintage war photos and people. I try to take a few pics and another young smartass, in a red polo shirt pops out of a room, gets really crappy and said I could not take pics of people. I try to brush him off and he keeps getting in my face telling me I can’t take pictures. I said I’ll go where there are no people and left. I went up to the floor you see in the picture, took a few shots, a lady comes out of one of the rooms and tells me I can’t take pictures. I showed her the view of the one you see and said look at the tones, they were a bit dull, I said I can touch these up with software and this hallway will be beautiful. She said, I was told you can’t take pictures inside the hospital. I asked by whom and she didn’t respond.

I headed back outside and there is a lovely marble Vietnam Memorial in front of the building. I take a few pics of it and another pesty young smartass, in a red polo, comes out of a side door, stands partially behind the Memorial, he’s half in my composition. He stands there and says you can’t take pictures. By this time I’m fed up with whomever these idiots are; I say I’m going to take pictures, I’m sure there are some veterans in there that need cared for, quit bothering me. It pissed him off and he storms away. Really, these people were doing everything they could to prevent me from taking pictures. I thought; god what next, they going to Taser me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and view my photostream. I have reached well over 200,000 views and very much appreciate your support. Please help us put a stop to Gang Stalking, Community Based Stalking and Workplace Mobbing.

May you all have an enjoyable and safe Memorial Day Weekend.

I have always wished to take a shot like this one .. Thanks for the nice people inside the cathedral for allowing me to take the shots.

Bucovina is one of the few regions where the art of egg painting is among the most lively and well preserved traditions.

Compared to other folk art manifestations this craft is impressive due to its artistic, decorative compositions and colorful design. In time, the Romanians consolidated the tradition and the custom of redden and painting the eggs in the spring, for celebrating the Christian's greatest feast - The Easter. The painted and decorated egg, a substitute for the Christian divinity that dies and comes back to life again, at the vernal equinox, sacramental eaten on Easter Day, is a symbol of death and resurrection of time and space.

In Romanian language there are a lot of terms used to describe the decorated eggs. The terms "red eggs" or "Easter eggs" refers - through extension - to all types of coloured or decorated eggs, even though not all of them are red or used only for Easter.

These worked eggs require craftsmanship and patience. The most praiseworthy are painted or handwritten eggs, entirely decorated, whose ornamental composition is more like spontaneous rather than elaborated. After playing an important role within a serious of traditional ceremonies and rites, the eggs are meant either for eating - called "lifeless" eggs, scanty decorated - either for being home preserved - these are the "living ones" (not boiled, hollow-out eggs) richly decorated.

Due to the fact they were meant for preservation, "the living eggs" were imbued with remarkable meanings. These eggs are only painted by genuine artists. Each of these eggs, true craftsmenship masterpieces, has its own unique design incorporating delicacy , refinement and imagination.

Egg painting is a moment of great joy, fully attained by the entire family. In countryside villages, especially in Bucovina region, live women famous for their crafts, delicacy and hand skills that have resulted into a perfect egg-painting art. What makes these women so famous is the chromatic harmony and the balanced aesthetics of the art they practise.

Egg-painting is a sophisticated craft, reflecting great refinement, combining talent, sensibility, vocation and moral qualities as well. The decoration technique, the ornamental composition and the chromatic palette decoration are crucial for realizing a beautiful " written egg". For ensuring quality hot wax-writing, the shape, the size and the strength of the egg are essential characteristics to be considered.

The drawing technique consists of covering the egg surface in wax and then, using a special tool made of a thin metal pipe, with a very small diameter, the egg is patterned (written with ornamental motifs).

After the egg shell is carefully cleaned, the egg is hollowed out: these preparations are a must in order to begin the writing of the model, thing that elderly women know from experince. Of ovoid shape, the egg requires a compositional conception often difficult to accomplish. The egg shell is either divided in four sections by drawing two axles (a horizontal line and a vertical one), or considering eggshell's volume, an integrated composition is made.

After the first patterns are made, the egg is dipped in a light color, usually yellow. Then the egg is put into the melted wax just to cover the dye mark. The wax seals the dye so the egg can be dipped in several colors without them running into one another. With each dipping more and more ornamental line are added. The last color to be used is black. In the end, the egg is gently heated, the wax melts down and the egg reveals its whole decorative, multicolor and original beauty. This beauty carries a message of harmony, equilibrium and expressivity. The chromatic palette has its own importance and symbolism, comprising a series of basic colors like yellow, red, navy blue, black and even white. The basic pattern of the compositional register include the geometrical, astral, fito and zoomorph elements; in addition, there is a whole compositional inventory extremly rich in color. There are myriads of motifs used on painted eggs. The most popular ones are: the stray path, the sun , the moon, the ram's horn, the cross, the star, the snail, the prayer, the plogh share, the wave, the zigzags and the stylised flowers.

Nicely arranged in a basket, the eggs are taken into the church so they can be blessed by the priest, are offered as present, sacramental eaten, or, most often, they are preserved for the whole year inside the house, for their aesthetic value. (http://ejournal.eduprojects.net)

All over the capital, the Arirang adverts (« Grand mass gymnastic and artistic performance », « Welcome to Pyongyang » and so on) warn the profane…Between August and October, takes place one of the biggest and most impressive performances in the world. The tone is set : even the Beijing Olympics ceremony can’t compete with the mass games organized by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). The show is held several times a week and welcomes tourists from all over the World, including the US, in one of the most isolated and despised country on earth. The well-called « mass games » are designed to emphasize group dynamics rather than individual performances as the supreme emblem of communism. Prepared by hundred of thousands performers all along the year, after their classes for the youngest of them, they are entirely dedicated to the NK’s leader Kim Jong Il and his deceased father Kim Il Sung, considered as the « Eternal president » and « sun of the 21st century »…

In the surroundings of Pyongyang's May Day giant Stadium, two girls are running to perform for the Arirang show. They are already dressed in their gymnastic outfits, as well as some 100,000 others who participate to the performance. They all come to honour their self-proclaimed « dear leader » Kim Jong Il, after a very hard and gruelling training, since their earliest age. Yet, it has been many years that Kim Jong Il has not shown up, formally for business reasons. But officials now admit the western medias’ assertions of illness. Anyways, Kim Jong Il or not, the mass games are held every year in Pyongyang, as a means for the regime to show to the entire world the country’s strength and good shape. To reach this sole purpose, not less than 100,000 people are involved in a choreographed show of simultaneous dancing and gymnastics. Many symbols are displayed by thousands of trained athlets, whether they are adults or even children. Hand over their heart, the young pupils sing in chorus "We are the happiest children in the world", one of the famous propaganda songs in North Korea. Many dancers make movements either with ribbons or colourful flowers named « kimjonglias » after the leader Kim Jong Il. All along the show, a live band plays a ceremonious music.

On the background, some 20,000 young koreans sit on the terraces, facing the spectators. They flip coloured cards at a high speed to form a fresco of animated and detailed images, changing from one to another. Each time they turn the page to create a new giant picture, they cry out. It creates a awe-inspiring atmosphere, as the shout is mixed with the noise of thousands of pages turned at the same moment. The figures are stunning : to compose these images, 2000 children are needed to make only one soldier, 20,000 for a north korean flag. Hiding a much more grim reality, the panels represent Pyongyang enlightened by night, wheat fields ready for harvest, scientists at work, atoms as symbols of the nuclear bomb and others for the reunification of two Koreas. One of the North Korea’s myths (history according to them) is recounted by the means of a huge image made by thousands of children. It represents the two pistols reportedly used by Kim Il Sung, when he founded the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerrilla Army in 1932. When the pistols appear, the audience applauses loudly. Among them, many soldiers attend the show as the ultimate award after years of good and faithful service. The thousands and thousands of boys and girls involved create a giant mass movement in the stadium which leaves the public stunned. These talented performers are used to that kind of performance: in North Korea they have to dance, sing, jump and spin around as many times as there are celebrations, always in praise of their leaders. There are mainly two sorts of shows. The first one is the classical artistic show, named "Arirang" after the famous korean folk song (whose story sometimes changes, but most often recounts the legend of a disappointed woman who hopes that her lover will return to her –metaphor of the break-up with South Korea). The second one is a more political show, which was untitled in 2008 "Prosper our country" and intended to show the country’s greatest achievements and its struggle against the foreign oppressors.

The show continues in the same way for one hour. Thereafter, the thousands of people present vanish in the dark and silent streets of Pyongyang, which contrast with the flood of lights and music in the stadium. Within the space of a few hours, it gives us a a strange feeling, between the real and unreal, of another universe both terrifying and fantastic.

"Ginger" , a feral orange kitten which got trapped inside my sister's home had his first ever car ride to the vet's, where he received his first vaccination and anti flea treatment. We don't know Ginger's history and assume that he's homeless and had never been vaccinated.

While Ginger is very chummy with my sister's kittens, he also eats their food when no one is around. This young one had no regular contact with humans since birth and is very skittish.

You can see the fearful expression in Ginger's eyes, accompanied by his occasional loud meowing. He was not harmed in any way during the examination and received the shot and flea medication through a special cage. Unfortunately our vet was unable to make Ginger take the deworming pill as he refused to be handled.

This is sadly, the only photo of Ginger and was only made possible as he was inside the cat carrier. Previously I was unable to photograph him at my sister's home as he would run away at the very sight of humans.

At Candelária Church. The colors are so beautiful...

See it bigeer, in 3MP! The details are awesome...

The Candelária Church was constructed by a rich business man that was coming with his family to Brazil and faced a big storm on the way. Then he made a promise... If he and his family survived, he would raise a church in gratitude in the place where the ship docked. And so he did. With the centuries it was being increased and improved to its actual appearance. Despiste the simple exterior, it is very, very rich inside, and maybe because of this it scaped from the big demolition that had in this part of the city decades ago to construct large avenues and destroyed many architecture jewels...

I wrote love instead of like..= =

anyway, this is the list, I've been tagged a few times for this :))

The most important stuff that I actually really liked is the outside ones, the insides are fillers..still like them but more specific of what I wrote on the outside XD

If you've been tagged, there is no need to do this if you don't want to :))

I have uploaded 3 photos in the past week wow highest ever I believe haha. But more quantity = less quality :/ My stream is so boring now~

This picture was shot on a tripod with three exposures (-2..0..+2EV). I used Photomatix to create the HDR with tone mapping and detail enhanced. I increased the overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Curve adjustment to increase the overall contrast. Some dodging and burning to bring out details. Used Nik Sharpener Pro to sharpen image.

This view was captured from the balcony inside The First Congregational Church of Portland in downtown Portland, Oregon. I was yanking on the door of the church and was disappointed that it was locked. I decided to take pictures of the exterior instead as I had many times before. Suddenly, the huge wooden door flung open and a lady came out to see who was yanking at the door. I confessed that it was me and that I was hoping to photograph the church interior. She let me in and told me to let myself out after I'm done. I spent a couple of hours taking pictures of all the beautiful architecture, wood works, and the gorgeous stained glass windows. I had the place all to myself! This I thank God for! Presented in full HDR!

And have a great weekend everyone!
