We had a good night, with Mum sleeping right though. She was still hard to persuade from her bed, though! Blood sugar was good, and she was quite perky when she got up. This morning I managed to get along to the local bank to pay the ODA cheques in, so that was quite good, as there was quite a backlog. No news on the extra car yet, but I have made it known that we're getting a bit impatient with the delay. We went out to lunch, then had a quiet afternoon which included a game of Scrabble. I'd felt a bit dizzy at the Rose & Crown, so didn't mind a restful few hours. For some reason, Mum's blood sugar was up a bit this evening compared to recent evenings, so I may still need to increase the insulin a bit more.
Rhiannon was round with Mike this evening, cooking him home-made lasagne, so that sounds tasty.
The chest of drawers in the photo is the same one I used when I lived at home. The yellow lion was stuck on by me when I was about 10 years old!

O restaurante da vez tem um nome bem familiar para nós, brasileiros... PASTEL.
Tem massas, pizzas, saladas e doces maravilhosos!!!
Comida italiana me parece ser a melhor opção para os turistas gastronomicamente menos aventureiros... é claro que existem algumas adaptações ao paladar local... nesse restaurante, por exemplo, o prato do Carbonara vem com um ovo cru sobre a massa!!!
Por sorte, este é um daqueles restaurantes com "mostruário" na entrada. Infelismente não fotografei, mas as massas estão todas lá, na vitrine... os famosos mostruários de plástico idênticos aos pratos... ótimo para quem não fala nem lê nada de japonês... é só escolher e apontar :)
Ah, o Ceasar Salad desta foto também vem com um ovo cru! Nesse caso, se você preferir sem, é só pedir a salada e dizer: "Tamago nuki". isto é, sem ovo!!!
O mais engraçado foi conversar com uma amiga japonesa depois e ela ficar espantada ao saber que a nossa Ceasar Salad não tem ovo cru na receita!
