All of these images were taken inside the Art Institute of Chicago Museum with ambient light only (except of course those images of patio chairs). I also tried out my new grey card, which I really really love for low-light situations with funky indoor lighting.

Here, I was looking at a glass case full of these beautiful paperweights (see images below). I was lit up by the light coming from the display case. That purple thing behind me was also a wall display of paperweights.

Measuring the inner diameter of any round shape is not so easy with a normal ruler if you wish to be perfect. An Inside Micrometer is type of ruler and everyday use precise tool for the perfectionists . Used to measure the Diameter of a round shapes inner side. When you need the perfect reading of a round shaped thing. This is a must to use.

This is the central staircase inside Canada Water library in London. It's a location I have had on my 'to shoot' list for an absolute age. Aside from this central staircase its a lot more interesting from the outside.

For once I have loads of shots ready to post but am going to space them out as am a bit time limited at the moment.

Hope you are all having a good week. :-)

This ends this series.

I will post the images already posted in the comment box.

Heading up to Jueau and we passed through what is known as the Inside Passage.

The Inside Passage is a coastal route for oceangoing vessels along a network of passages which weave through the islands on the Pacific coast of North America. The route extends from southeastern Alaska, in the United States, through western British Columbia, in Canada, to northwestern Washington state, in the United States. Ships using the route can avoid some of the bad weather in the open ocean and may visit some of the many isolated communities along the route. The Inside Passage is heavily travelled by cruise ships, freighters, tugs with tows, fishing craft and ships of the Alaska Marine Highway, BC Ferries, and Washington State Ferries systems.

After 12 years of marriage, sometimes we don't need words to have a meaningful conversation... :-)))

This is Brazil, São Paulo city!

I'm grateful for the visit, faves and comments in my photo.

I had not been on a Flickr for a while, and probably will be not too often again for some month, but I wanted to send joyful regards in Easter mood to all my Flickr friends. These are Easter eggs, coloured in my home in the traditional Latvian way - using only natural ingredients to get colourful eggs, something that many of you probably don't know. :-)

I decided to start a photo-a-day project.

I'm not sure if I'll do it all the way, but I'll give it a try.

Hello darkness my old friend,

I've come to talk with you again

Because a vision softly creeping

left it's seeds while I was sleeping

And the vision that was planted in my brain

still remains, within the sounds of silence

...

(Salve oscurità, mia vecchia amica

ho ripreso a parlarti ancora

perché una visione che fa dolcemente rabbrividire

ha lasciato in me i suoi semi mentre dormivo

e la visione che è stata piantata nel mio cervello

ancora persiste nel suono del silenzio )
