(101/366) I brought back 2 more stones from the Hook peninsula in Wexford to add to my collection of "lucky stones" on the mantelpiece (the flat yellow one left of centre & the purple one behind it). I've 24 in total now, all from beaches in Ireland. They don't seem to be bringing me much good luck lately but hopefully that will change soon & a new buyer for our house will come along. The photo before this one shows the outside of this 25-foot sculpture by Marc Fornes, names "Pine Sanctuary.". You can walk under the sculpture into the inside, where the delaminated, double-layered skin provides rich colors, as well as shadows and speckled light. Inside and out, no section ever repeats itself, you see a new, unique angle with every step.

Having to triple up on challenges today as time is very short. I would have liked to re-do this as once I'd uploaded I noticed the cloth wasn't straight and that bothers me but I just don't have time to go back to the drawing board.
Thank you all for your continued support while I am posting and running...hope to catch up before too long.
I used Topaz Detail and Topaz Simplify to create this.

Thanks for taking a look.
Victoria College is somewhat separated from the rest of the University of Toronto geographically, bordering Queen's Park, and being located on the eastern portion of the campus along with St. Michael's College. The main building, Old Vic, is an example of Richardsonian Romanesque architectural style. The architect was W. G. Storm, who died shortly after completion. The campus is centred on the main quadrangle of Victoria, outlined by the upper and lower houses of Burwash Hall.

Edited on the iPad first in Snapseed then in Fotograf for black and white work.
I have a color version that I like a lot and will post in the future.
I replaced all the valves of my re-issue 1957 Vox amp. Not all of them are new though, the one on the left is actually dated 1958! They sound gorgeous...
I remember when you were all mine
Watched you changing in front of my eyes
What can I say
Now that I'm not the fire in the cold
Now that I'm not the hand that you hold
As you're walking away
Will you call me to tell me you're alright
Cause I worry about you the whole night
Don't repeat my mistakes
I won't sleep 'til you're safe inside
If you're home I just hope that you're sober
Is it time to let go now you're older
Don't leave me this way
I won't sleep 'til you're safe inside

Thought this might make a good Valentine's Day card when the time comes.
A mixture of photo editing used - I couldn't reproduce this if I wanted. I must thank Kerstin Frank for her texture. Thank you Kerstin !
Photo - my own.
Thank you, Bob Seger, for the inspiration for my title.
This is not the clearest sharpest image... but this is all I managed to take on our short visit inside St Peter's Cathedral in Vatican.
I really just wanna show what the ceiling looks like... the amazing details it has!
Hope everyone's having a great weekend!
I have taken this photo to-day morning (01/11/2016) in our living room in Queens, New York. This is the first picture I captured in 2016 and feel happy with the picture and the title !

Mongolian hospitality is legendary and is a very important part of Mongolian culture. Travelers are welcomed in the round nomadic home called a Ger to share food & drink. Strangers are made to feel welcome almost anytime. Where temperature routinely drop to 30 degrees below zero in the winter months, the warmth of a welcoming Ger is always appreciated. Helping each other is critical for the Mongolian nomads as they pursue their nomadic lifestyle. Here a herder shares Aaruul, (= Dried curds) with us on an uncharacteristically wet day in the Gobi Desert.
