We are finally all moved in and the unpacking is still going on, but the end is in sight.

Wandering around the yellow glowing colonade, created by Olafur Eliason and his studio, the perspective changes with every step. Mirrors at the other side of the triangular columns make us meet ourselves. However, this is my favorite angle on an intriguing work of art.

One of our local garden centres has pumpkins on display- already! Hallowe'en is a BIG event now in this part of the world. OK by me . I LOVE pumpkins and gourds. Sooo tasty. Sooo photogenic!

Despite the St.Stephens Cathedral being undoubtedly Viennas most famous church it is certainly not the oldest. The St.Peters church which is located in the immediate vicinity of the St.Stephens Cathedral was (re-)built in the second half of the 4th century. Originally the Roman building served for military purposes. At that time Vienna went by the name of Vindobona, and was a Roman fort.

The picture shows the dome of the church with it's stunning fresco.

The seed pod of a weedy variety of geranium, I can see why they multiply so well with their spring loaded seeds.
