In my quest to shoot different subjects in my time away from Flickr, I searched high and low one day as my wife was busy cooking, when I found this container, used to store olive oil, sitting near a window in the kitchen, which in turn allowed for its colors to be reflected back off of it.

You know we make a lot of connections here. I know it's the internet and I know you can't trust people here and you CAN trust people here. I have been very fortunate to have made what I consider many friends. I have learned and trusted and loved here. Today, I am saying goodbye to someone who has been a friend here for 5 years or more, one of my first contacts. Someone who is has inspired me and helped me along my journey.
I know I talk about Francesca Woodman and the inspiration in the motion that I have found, but "Olga" , was one of the first people in my real world that was actually practicing the fine art of motion.. and she was Canadian, :) She had such a wonderful energy and aura. Thank you for sharing your world with so many of us. My heart is broken ~

One of the scariest things we have to face is often being honest with ourselves. We so often find ourselves standing at the shores of our personal truth, afraid to look at our reflection and afraid to dive in. We know the water is cold and swimming through it will be long and difficult. But what really frightens us most is the fear of not knowing what will be on that other side waiting for us. It's called Freedom. Be truthful with yourself, be truthful with those around you. We live in a metaverse where you have absolutely the most freedom to be yourself and find acceptance. Take advantage of it.

The photo before this one shows the outside of this 25-foot sculpture by Marc Fornes, names "Pine Sanctuary.". You can walk under the sculpture into the inside, where the delaminated, double-layered skin provides rich colors, as well as shadows and speckled light. Inside and out, no section ever repeats itself, you see a new, unique angle with every step.

Mongolian hospitality is legendary and is a very important part of Mongolian culture. Travelers are welcomed in the round nomadic home called a Ger to share food & drink. Strangers are made to feel welcome almost anytime. Where temperature routinely drop to 30 degrees below zero in the winter months, the warmth of a welcoming Ger is always appreciated. Helping each other is critical for the Mongolian nomads as they pursue their nomadic lifestyle. Here a herder shares Aaruul, (= Dried curds) with us on an uncharacteristically wet day in the Gobi Desert.
