it's that faux-cable again, with sort of a lace rib between repeats. this is a swatch for a sweater that i'm still working out - i've cast on, but not decided how i want to do the shoulders.
Since the head tilts back (intentionally) , and there'll be wings in the back, I was worried about it over balancing. A couple of pennies in the base should prevent that.
The trees are gone - it took most of the day to get the stumps out. Also starting to take down the last fence.
Quilting! Free-motion quilting done on my White FR treadle. You can't drop the feed dogs on it, but that wasn't a problem in this case, as the stitch length is verrry adjustable, and I find the treadle allows me a lot of control over the speed. I hadn't FM quilted (or quilted, period) before this project.
