This sweater was aggressively blocked (aka fulled) this time, its still going to be too large.

The trees are gone, and most of the stuff has been hauled away. Still some stuff left on the side of the house. Also fixed the leaking sprinkler line - that's why the weeds were always green in that one spot!

Looking down from the upper left corner to the cleared yard. Once the wall is up, the next steps are regrading, getting rid of the sand, and getting the irrigration in. Also, the block wall that was already there (seen in this picture) was finished on this side.

in the beginning it was ugly. last summer we helped our neighbor to create an alley garden behind their house. last fall we started ours with cast-offs, extra dirt, mulch, compost and bric-a-brac. one step at a time...
