I decided to make Hexies with my fabric scraps. Not sure what I will end up making. Or when. But eventually it's going to become something.
working on migrating some of my painting/collage sketches into print world... also playing with linocuts for the first time in ages, inspired by another artist I know who has been doing a lot of them of late. So far, I am loving the simplification and additional texture these new prints have. This is turning into an interesting experiment.
Same thing, different tube of paint. This tube is phthalocyanine blue, which is the lighter blue. The last one was phthalo blue red shade, the darker blue. The other color is green, I'm not really sure how apparent that is at this point.
Yet another pattern by Stefanie Japel, which can be found here. I am shockingly using the yarn called for--Rowan 4-Ply Cotton. The color is Aegean.
I added some yellow between the buildings to represent pavement. There needed to be more contrast between the buildings and the ground color.
right now, the city looks to me like a cancer. it made me think of something Kurt Vonnegut said, "your planet's immune system is trying to get rid of you"

Needles: US 1.5 (2.5mm) DPNs for body of sock; US 1 (2.25mm) circular for freaky-deaky cast-on.
Yarn: Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock Mediumweight, color Count Cluckula (somebody has entirely too much fun naming these).
