Mr Whiskers buried a tin of sardines for emergencies but fortunately he made a map so he shouldn't have any trouble remembering where it is. As for the eye patch, well, he wears it coz he thinks it makes him look like a real pirate. Maybe he should have told the cap'n he borrowed his hat though.

I think this is a Montana product, but has no such markings on it. Washed off hands easily after use, using hand sanitizer. Used in combination, the inks reactivated earlier dry layers and mixed, so covering mistakes was difficult. Assorted ink pots I use for brush painting. The blue in the foreground is a blue chip color, very traditional. The gold is a modern Japanese pot.

A logo for St. John's ink that may possibly be used on merch or something. Or maybe for nothing. Either way the first thing I've done in months.
WIP - broke out the brush and ink, and I was all over the place with bad lines. My painting approach to inking got in the way... so, this turns into an experiment now. Bad ink lines on the mountain... experimenting with texture. Sooo... ink-wash experimenting got mixed in... and I'm happy again... Let's see what else I mix in here... I'm sure it will look way better as I add other techniques.. mish-mosh of approaches here.. it WILL WORK in the end! Muahahahah!

I went back into the A3-meditation and tried it once again. Now I knew what 1 inch means! This challenge no 232 is made by Holly Atwater:

This is an ink drawing created with a biro and then uploaded into Photoshop. Using the dodge and burn tool, I was able to create highlights and shadows to convey intensity. The key word 'Confusion' was my prompt for this design in which I focused on cross-hatching and cracking shapes to represent emotion.
The most effective combination was the Deleter Black #1 ink with the 10" bamboo skewer. The 8" skewer had too narrow a diameter, so it didn't hold as much ink and was rather uncomfortable to hold.
