Snickers is a 1-year-old Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever-Poodle mix), whose dog mom, Aimee, calls her “76-pound lap dog.” Aimee says he got his name “because I love Snickerdoodle cookies, which are sugar cookies with cinnamon. Snickers is white, with a light dusting of red, and he is just as sweet.”
Three-year-old Lady Bug had some problems when mange when her dog mom, Beth, and her daughter rescued her. Lady Bug is fine now and is in the process of becoming a therapy dog.
“I have medical problems, and Lady Bug stays near me when she knows I'm not feeling good,” Beth said. When she’s not hanging out with her dog mom, Lady Bug loves her neighbor’s pond.
Sophie is a 5-month-old Shih Tzu. “I love how little her cute little belly is,” says her pet parent. “She is just the sweetest little baby girl.”
Although his dog mom Karin said he was a terror as a pup, Arlo is now 12 years old and “the best boy ever!” Arlo received his Canine Good Citizen certificate before he was a year old. “I swear, he did it all himself,” Karin said. “I was just on the other end of the leash! He teaches all the other Labbies (we have five more) the rules of the house and how to be the best family member they can be."

Cooper is a 14-month-old rescue. “After losing my 8-year-old Doberman to cardiomyopathy last February, I couldn't bear to be without a Dobie," says his pet parent, Robin. “Cooper is the most loving dog I could ask for and fits right in with my five cats, two rabbits, birds, assorted fish, snake and guinea pig. He is truly a friend!”
“Harry is my sweet, wise 7½ year old (they grow up so fast!) who loves sleeping, pizza crusts and picking on his baby bro,” says his dog mom, Gretchen. “He does not like umbrellas, the vacuum cleaner or generally any loud, sudden noises. Scaredy cat.”

Sunny is a rescue Shepherd-Jindo mix and certified therapy dog who’s about 8 or 9 years old. “I love it when she's sleeping on the sofa with her belly up as it communicates to me that she is totally relaxed and feels safe,” says Katrin, her dog mom. “Her belly is also so soft and touchable!”
Chloe is a 3-year-old Basset-Lab-something mix. “What I love most about her belly is that it’s so soft and she loves to have it rubbed,” says her dog mom, Susanne. “When I come home at night, she is always there, waiting for a belly rub. Whenever I say ‘belly rub,’ she rolls over on her back.”
Chloe loves to run and go on long walks. She knows exactly where Susanne keeps the dog treats, and can count to 10 for snacks. “And I guess I love her most of all because she loves belly rubs,” Susanne says. “In the morning when we wake up. At night when I get home from work. And, well, pretty much anytime. “
