Bronze portrait sculptures commemorate the lives of brothers, Jackie and Mack Robinson, located on Garfield Avenue, north of Union Street, across the street from City Hall.
Completed June 20, 2002 with a ring of granite tiles etched with donor’s names, benches and landscaping, including peach trees. (Pasadena Star News 6/21/02)
Mack Robinson won the silver medal in the 200-meter race in the 1936 Olympics.
Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in baseball when in 1947 he joined the Brooklyn Dodgers.

I dedicate this image to my my Mom who always tended the garden growing both food and flowers. She learned from my Papa (her father) who always had something blooming in his very small garden in San Francisco. He always had a beautiful garden in spite of the the weather in SF. Even today at 91 and on oxygen, she still works in the garden.

Located just south of Boston, Forest Hills Cemetery is quite impressive. Taken with the iPhone 11 Pro Max, with a Moment 18mm lens mounted.

The iguana was a first class model. He just seemed to love the camera. Photographed at Paignton Zoo in Devon
The photograph shows an extensive white patch of Cirrocumulus. It is composed of very small elements without shading, in the form of grains and ripples that have an apparent width of less than 1°. The image contains examples of the species stratiformis and floccus, and of the variety lacunosis and undulatus.
This display was very short lived.

Shepherds Sit Savoring Seaside Summer Shade - IMRAN™
My German Shepherd Dogs, Kennedy and K2, love jumping from this empty lot in my neighborhood onto the short beach and into the waters of Tampa Bay, Florida. When I was in a hurry and staying near the street to head back after a short dog walk, they both sat in the seaside summer shade and watched whether they could tempt me to stay longer with their coordinated cuteness. I did.

Week No. 1: “From This Spot”

Welcome to Fletchers Cove, a nearby beach. You certainly cannot tell by this image, but California is in the midst of a record breaking multi year drought. So far for 2023 we have been blessed with several very rainy days. Fingers crossed that the trend continues. For my first visit to this spot, I didn’t even venture from the car due to the rain.

Near Duck Creek Village, UT, Strawberry Point is a spectacular overlook near the edge of Bryce Canyon National Park. Spectacular views are available all along the Park's Western cliffs' edge.

Lindsey convinced me that I needed to go home and see family unseen for three years. I burst into tears when I crossed the NC state line yesterday. No matter where I live, North Carolina will always be home.
This morning, I woke to Carolina Blue skies, but last evening, it was a cotton candy sunset. I am home.
Es ist mein 2. Tag in dem ich nun mitten im Gebirge im VW Bus "wohne". Am Tag zuvor war ich schon auf diesem Gipfel. Das Wetter war gut, die Sonne ging wie geplant auf. Strahlend blauer Himmel - ein super schönes Erlebnis am Berg - doch das Foto hatte ich mir anders vorgestellt....
Jetzt, am 2. Tag möchte ich es nochmal versuchen. Um ca. 3 Uhr Nachts wage ich einen Blick aus dem Bus. Dichte Wolken haben sich gebildet.
Neue Erkenntnis: Zum Fluchen muss man nicht wach sein!
Die Motivation schon wieder so früh aufzustehen - geht bei so einem Wetter gegen 0. "Unglückliche Umstände" zwingen mich jedoch pünktlich zur ungefähren Weckzeit den Bus zu verlassen. Sonst hätte ich den Wecker vermutlich einfach ausgestellt. Das allererste Licht der Morgendämmerung zeigt Lücken in der Wolkendecke, und ich werde vorsichtig optimistisch.
Den Rucksack hatte ich vorsorglich schon gepackt, deshalb gabs nur noch schnell eine Tasse Kaffee, und schon kanns losgehen. Der komplette Berg ist durchlöchert mit alten Befestigungen und Schützengräben sowie tiefen Stollen aus dem 1. Weltkrieg. Der Aufstieg ist nicht sehr gefährlich oder anspruchsvoll, aber höchst interessant.
Pünktlich zum Sonnenaufgang - noch bevor ich die Kamera raushole - weiß ich: Das ist DAS Foto für das man einen Berg 2 Tage in Folge in aller "Herrgottsfrüh" besteigt.

ENG: New Year's greetings!
Although this year again had to dance properly out of line, but I hope that I can see you even with mask on the face and freshly disinfected hands in the new year 2022 Wiedersehen or at least hear a few soothing words from you.
I also hope that you have survived the Christmas holidays as well as the past year mentally and healthwise well and wish you for the new year a lot of strength, best health, great friends and a family, which one can also endure.
In this sense, I wish you a happy new year and all the best with this New Year's greeting!
Oh well! If you never take time, you can't have time!

GER: Neujahrsgrüße!
Zwar musste auch dieses Jahr wieder gehörig aus der Reihe tanzen, ich hoffe jedoch, dass ich euch auch mit Maske im Gesicht und frisch desinfizierten Händen im neuen Jahr 2022 Wiedersehen kann oder wenigstens ein paar wohltuende Worte von euch vernehmen darf.
Ich hoffe auch, dass ihr die Weihnachtsfeiertage sowie das vergangene Jahr seelisch und gesundheitlich gut überstanden habt und wünsche euch für das neue Jahr viel Kraft, beste Gesundheit, tolle Freunde und eine Familie, die man auch aushalten kann.
In diesem Sinne, wünsche ich euch einen guten Rutsch und alles gute mit diesem Neujahrsgruß!
Ach so! Wenn man sich nie Zeit nimmt, kann man auch keine Zeit haben!
