Clear skies looking east 5 minutes after sunset. Nothing exciting but the clear definition of the atmosphere was worth capturing. The irregular earth shadow and rays results from some high clouds over the sunset in the southwest.

This pano will be my last using my iPhone 11 Pro Max. For Christmas, my wife bought me an iPhone 16 Pro Max! I suspect my image quality will improve. Stay tuned. Oh yes, you may
be asking what I got her? She eventually wants a puppy. :-)

ENG: The eerie emptiness on Berlin's streets. This photo is from the weekend and usually all hell breaks loose on Warschauer Straße in Berlin Friedrichshain. Party, party, party!!! But this couple is abiding by the two-person rule during the Covid-19 curfew. Only the distance of 1.50 meters is a problem. Laugh!
Stay healthy and get through the surreal time well.

I joke that I have an album in my head of photos I missed, but it's true, This frustration happens especially when I'm driving past a beautiful or interesting scene, unable to pull over to capture the image. Yesterday I accidentally locked my keys inside the car and had to walk a mile-and-a-half to pick up my spare keys at a family member's house. The much slower pace of my walk made me see and savor scenes in my neighborhood that I normally hardly notice. I only regret that I didn't have my camera with me.
A quiet, residential corner on 35th Avenue, only one block from Bell Boulevard, the main commercial street in Bayside, Queens, NYC -- November 11, 2021
Decided it was time to test out the Iphone 11’s pro max photographic capabilities while at Canary Wharf. The timing was appropriate being well into the evening with very little movement on or around the escalators to cause distractions. This photo has had minimal tweaking in photoshop, basically nothing more than a small curves adjustment.

Part of a backyard bivouac in a nearby neighborhood. Not visible from the street. Complete with teepees, trail markers and artful graffiti covered fence.

I was lucky to catch this fire sky considering that these were the only clouds around. This dry front ushered in air 20+ degrees colder than yesterday.
Taken 10 minutes before sunrise.

Taken at 7:10AM, 13 minutes before sunrise. Unusual to see deep red colors so close to sunrise.

I recently inherited my Mother’s Toby Mug Collection. Among them were two historical figures, Queen Victoria and Winston Churchill.

Shooting into the sun is challenging. However, a mid fall day in the park is about as perfect a setting no matter what.
