I love my goofball! He's so silly. He went to the vet a couple weeks ago. He had his teeth cleaned and had bloodwork done. Everything looked great. No more vaccines for my boys. The only one I have to give is rabies, as mandated by our county. As per CMACC rules, I can't foster dogs unless all my guys are vaccinated.....and you know how I feel about fostering. I'm glad my vet is coming around to my view on the necessity and frequency of vaccines. There's no need to assault an immune system that's already protected.

I am crazy for long drives at night. Some nights i just take the car and go for a city ride for nothing but pleasure...

A million years ago, I had admired some bunnies on Eartha's stream -- they were the same ones we had as Easter decorations when I was little that I had LOVED.

When I was little, if there was a picture that I loved, I would just stare at it fascinated, forever. The Time Life books about birds (particularly the ones where the owl is eating the snake -- ewww, gross!), the illustrations in my Childcraft books, the photos in my dad's paperback copy of Scapegoat (the story of the murder of the Lindbergh baby -- scary!)... and this bunny.

I'd forgotten all about it until I saw it in Eartha's pictures, and when I admired it, she sent it to me.

And it took me forever to upload it on here, but the little bunny beckoned today, and i wanted to say a public thank you to Miss Eartha, and I will see you on the 4th!!!

xoxoxo

I just love Valentine's day!

i feel so happy and free again. Today is my first day of my holidays.

bad things are over now. i succeed the past week.

isn´t it a perfect day for some sundown-magic?

here its freezing cold and extremely rainy - in May!

i´ll catch up with your streams tonight ♥

I had these three images from two days ago ready to post yesterday, but I overslept by about an hour and a half, which left me just 27 minutes from waking up suddenly and actually leaving the house!! This is always my biggest concern on any Count day - will I wake up in time or might I sleep through my two alarm clock radios and a kitchen timer. Well, yesterday, it was the latter, and it was not pleasant! Annoying, too, as yesterday's Count is my favourite Count.

All three photos posted this morning, 31 December 2016, were taken two days ago, when three of us took part in the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count for the Cochrane Wildlife Reserve area. I'm not sure why it's called a Wildlife Reserve, as it consists of backroads and farms just like on our other Counts. Only three of us went two days ago, travelling in just one car, and the area we covered was east of Highway 22/Cowboy Trail (across from the Water Valley area).

This is one of the Llamas seen at one of the farms we called in at during our coverage two days ago. This farmer has several of these large, amusing animals, and they are always one of the highlights of this Count for me. Unfortunately, it was very overcast when we were there, so this was taken in poor light. There was so much snow on the long driveway that led to the house, that we were unable to drive up, so we decided to walk. Actually, several of the backroads were in bad condition and I was expecting us to get stuck, which fortunately didn't happen. A huge bag of gravel and a snow shovel were in the back of the vehicle, just in case.

"Llamas appear to have originated from the central plains of North America about 40 million years ago. They migrated to South America and Asia about 3 million years ago. By the end of the last ice age (10,000–12,000 years ago) camelids were extinct in North America. As of 2007, there were over 7 million llamas and alpacas in South America and, due to importation from South America in the late 20th century, there are now over 100,000 llamas and 6,500–7,000 alpacas in the US and Canada." From Wikipedia.

Another of my favourite farms to stop at has a beautiful, old dog named Fang, along with beautiful cats, and I always look forward to seeing them each year. The neighbouring farm, which is also included in our area, has two beautiful old, red barns and I was longing to see these again. Unfortunately, we drove in past them, but didn't stop. A bit further in, we did get out of the car while our leader tried to find someone to ask permission for us to get out and look for birds. No one could be found, but it gave me the chance to take two rapid shots through the trees of the second barn, from a side view, which I had never seen before.

So, it was a very enjoyable day, though there were not all that many species or individual birds to be seen. Many thanks, Andrew, for driving our leader and myself. You did a great job of handling the roads that had not been cleared of snow. I will add a list of the bird species seen, in a comment box below.

I travel to France, Paris from today until Monday 14th July.

Floating with the stars

A diamond lost in heaven

As long as I got you i am high on my heart

You make me feel so high

I don't know what i'm doing

You make me feel so high

I don't know right from ruin

Time

Folding on itself

Moments last forever

Am I wide awake

Is it body or spell

Your touch

Is lightning on my skin

And as were flying higher

Who can tell the view from the heroin?

Cass Borelli was a pseudonym used by Frank Dubrez Fawcett.

UK writer (1891-1968) active in various genres under his own name and several others from 1923; non-sf pseudonyms included Cass Borelli, Henri Dupres, Madame E. Farra, ''GRIFF'', Eugene Glen, Duke Linton, Coolidge McCann, Elmer Eliot Saks, Ben Sarto and Hank Spencer. Much of his output consisted of such thrillers as Miss Otis Comes to Piccadilly (1946), as by Ben Sarto, and its many quite popular successors

Mr. Julian is over 80 years old. He still runs his farm, even getting up in his barn and tossing down bales of hay. He also takes care of his Wife who is unable to get around much anymore. We only really see her during the summer months. Him and her- and their dogs, sitting out on a porch swing admiring their ranch. I knew he must have been a good man when I saw he has all Fords, and a blue tractor. My Grandfather who was a Rancher always had Fords and owned a blue tractor. My Grandfather was and is one of my greatest role models.

Back to Mr. Julian. He even barters! He traded me 12 of our fresh eggs for one of his bales of hay. I think I won him over because today he stopped me in the road on his tractor and said, “Next time you come with eggs, I would like you to meet my Wife.” I told him, “I would love to.” Oh to be his age and to be able to still do what you love. We can only hope.

I wanted a Jess Brown Doll for a long time, but it was not something I needed or could rationalize buying (pricey). But, after the recent loss of a loved one, we've been reminded that life is short, so I brought one home. I love her style and added some garnet earrings as a brooch.

I was talking to my friend on the DC metro to the left of me when I glance for a second see a little one staring at me. I grabbed my camera and took the flick.

A major blizzard struck the earth. Everything was covered in snow. A whole month has passed. Crops cannot grow. Water and snow become foul because of some chemical in the snow. Millions of the weak and sick die. Homes are abandoned. People say that the snow will pass. They say it was only a strange natural disaster. They say everyone will recover. But I know. Everyone knows. They are just afraid to admit it. This is the beginning of the end. This is the the beginning of the Apocalypse.

Hey guys! This is my entry into Roaglaan`s contest. I had to make an 8 x 16 vig and boy was it hard. The ground is heavily SNOTted in different ways. There is snow hanging off the abandoned building. I also added a Light Bley Border around the vig ( Not part of the vig. )

Enjoy!

Also, guys sorry I haven’t gotten that proto pic up. I am working on it, but my brother is using some of my protos and I have to get them all together. I will try to put it up tomorrow.

Thanks, Chris

"I Won't Dance"

music by Jerome Kern and lyrics by Dorothy Fields, Oscar Hammerstein II, Otto Harbach and Jimmy McHugh

------------------

GINGER:

Think of what you're losing

By constantly refusing

To dance with me.

You'd be the idol of France with me.

And yet you stand there and shake your foolish head rheumatically

While I wait here so ecstatically.

You just look and say emphatically:

FRED:

Not this season. There's a reason.

I won't dance. Don't ask me.

I won't dance. Don't ask me.

I won't dance, Madame, with you.

My heart won't let my feet do things they should do.

You know what? You're lovely.

GINGER:

So what? I'm lovely...

FRED:

But oh, what you do to me.

I'm like an ocean wave that's bumped on the shore.

I feel so absolutely stumped on the floor.

GINGER:

Ah, but when you dance you're charming and you're gentle.

Especially when you do The Continental.

FRED:

But this feeling isn't purely mental.

For heaven rest us

I'm not asbestos.

And that's why...

I won't dance. Why should I?

I won't dance. How could I?

I won't dance, merci beaucoup.

I know that music leads the way to romance.

And if I hold you in my arms... I won't dance.

I graduated with my B.B.A. with a major in Finance. Go Coogs!

Thanks for the pic, Paul.

I looked up in the sky and saw this. They are coming for me, again.

I've added a canvas look to the shot.

I work in an office that is business causal. We can wear jeans on Friday, but still have to wear a semi-dressy shirt and shoes. I'm still a bit cranky pants, so I felt today I needed my Chucks. I'm sorry I just needed them.

I didn't remember drawing the heart on these. In fact, I have no idea when/how it got on there. When I pulled out the shoes this morning and saw it, I smiled. So apparently all I really did need were Chucks.

This one is for ARNEL aka LENAREH, Pinoy Kodakero's poet laureate. Perhaps what I appreciate more about Arnel is his ability to see the lighter side of life. I truly enjoy the simplicity of his view on life as expressed in many of his images. I have enjoyed his “can you guess” posts, his blue sky set, his food and sari-sari shots. His stream is full of treasures which can certainly make you smile. And Arnel is generous. He almost always never leave my stream without a few simple verses of encouragement, sometimes of humor. I feel honored to be his friend and godmother to his young son, Nico. And I am looking forward to meet him and his family in person and spend some time exploring and shooting some of the beautiful places in the Philippines in October.

Can't a picture stand on it's own without explanation?

Modeling the black & white 45surf & black & gold "Gold 45 Revolver" Gold'N'Virtue clothes with the main equation to Moving Dimensions Theory on the swimsuits and lingerie: dx4/dt=ic. Yes I have a Ph.D. in physics! :) You can read more about my research and Hero's Journey Physics here:

herosjourneyphysics.wordpress.com/ MDT PROOF#2: Einstein (1912 Man. on Rel.) and Minkowski wrote x4=ict. Ergo dx4/dt=ic--the foundational equation of all time and motion which is on all the shirts, clothes, and swimsuits. Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!

May the Hero's Journey Mythology Goddess inspire you (as they have inspired me!) along your own artistic journey!

I Muvrini is the name of a band from Corsica that was founded by the Bernardini brothers (Jean-François and Alain) about thirty-five years ago. The brothers are champions of Corsican language and culture, and this is reflected in their music which features polyphonic singing - the harmonious combination of different voices. By a happy coincidence I Muvrini had been booked to play a concert in Calvi in the same week that we were staying there. The open air performance took place in the shadow (had it been daylight) of the Genoese Citadelle with the waters of the Mediterranean lapping nearby. I would actually categorise their music as "folk-rock", but regardless of which labels are attached to them, I Muvrini enjoyed a rapturous reception from the large audience, and that included us too.

As I look upon your face

I 've heard that there would be a new sequel of Indiana Jones starring Harrison Ford again. Perhaps they should consider this location for filming.

Joking aside, these volcanic degassing pipes are pretty fragile as they were mostly made out of tightly compressed volcanic ashes. When I walked among them, there were small stones dropped upon my head from the cliff ceiling. I then realized that the whole ceiling could collapse anytime soon as I could see evidence on some sections of the cliff. I did take a peek at that chamber on the right. The degassing pipes spread further in there. However, I ventured no further.

Thanks to the drought in California, I would not have been able to walk among these degassing pipe columns as they were under the water at least a few years ago based on some online photos I saw. I felt like I was Indiana Jones.
