The climb of Mt. Ngauruhoe, or better know as Mt. Doom for a reshoot of the triology final Lord of the Rings. Unfortunately we didn't had a ring, so we had to use a 'supernatural' key-ring instead. Anthony as Frodo and me as Sam. So Anthony's job were the dramatic faces while my job was just to stand next to him doing nothing, having the hands in the pocket and watch with a glassy look in the eyes.
However, as we made it to the scene we needed to take a rest first, before our grande break through. I thought a bottle of wine was on its place to celebrate the save arrival after scrawling through the lands of Mordor, locally known as Tongariro NP, but anyway.

This is the beef jerky my hubby and I made. The BBQ Jolokia and the Curry Jerky both contain Bhut Jolokia chilies, also known as ghost chilies, the hottest in the world. Twice as hot as a habenero, and they're damn tasty to boot. If you haven't noticed, we're big on spicy at my house. :)
***Oops, looks like I have a couple misspelled words in there. Lol, I need a spell checker in real life.
Waiting for the Sufi night to begin, shipping milk tea, eating rice and watching dodgy Pakistani hashish cigarettes circulate among the crowd, a man starts playing music with his buffalo horn instrument.

The weather has turned proper summery again..when I took this I was actually trying to take a picture of the changing skyline with the new Hilton Hotel, but there's a mash up between the lampost and crane that sort of spoils the view..but quite like the candid feel to this, hence posted it anyway!

They were making a cupcake. A gigantic cupcake, and on top of the cupcake was a crashed rocketship, and riding that rocketship was a girl who had a cherry on top of her head and breasts made of cupcakes. I'm not making any of this up.
Plus they did it all in just under two hours.

Still not regained my mojo, so I decided to do some cooking to cheer myself up. I thought I'd make a curry for tomorrow night, as the Champion's League final will be on and I don't think we'll want to cook when we get in after work.
I probably won't use all these chillies though!

A short clip of The Cure performing ''Hot Hot Hot!!!'' at the AMD stage on Saturday evening during Weekend 1 of ACL Festival 2013. (Excuse the poor sound quality and wind noise...it was a very breezy evening!) The Cure put on a phenomenal show! You can view the full Cure ACL Fest setlist online, and see some close-up pics taken by professional photographers on the Brooklyn Vegan ACL Fest Weekend 1 Day 2 photo recap page (scroll almost to the bottom of the page), with additional photos on another Brooklyn Vegan ACL Fest Weekend 1 Day 2 photo highlights page (scroll almost to the bottom of the page). And for a real treat, check out the live feed video of The Cure's ACL Fest performance that a fan posted on YouTube (assuming it's still online...).
