Waiting for the Sufi night to begin, shipping milk tea, eating rice and watching dodgy Pakistani hashish cigarettes circulate among the crowd, a man starts playing music with his buffalo horn instrument.
At Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield. It was hotter then hell, but Im glad I was there anyways. Listening and watching cars haul down the drag strip.
A short clip of The Cure performing ''Hot Hot Hot!!!'' at the AMD stage on Saturday evening during Weekend 1 of ACL Festival 2013. (Excuse the poor sound quality and wind noise...it was a very breezy evening!) The Cure put on a phenomenal show! You can view the full Cure ACL Fest setlist online, and see some close-up pics taken by professional photographers on the Brooklyn Vegan ACL Fest Weekend 1 Day 2 photo recap page (scroll almost to the bottom of the page), with additional photos on another Brooklyn Vegan ACL Fest Weekend 1 Day 2 photo highlights page (scroll almost to the bottom of the page). And for a real treat, check out the live feed video of The Cure's ACL Fest performance that a fan posted on YouTube (assuming it's still online...).

Words I live by. Words straight from me. Be a kid as long as you can, rock out to the beat of your own drummer and, well, remain optimistic.
I had fun today. It was really hot out...the pants, jumping and considerable walk home didn't help. These are the most photos I've ever had in my comments.

ummmm definitely the first time (and hopefully the last) that I've seen machine guns while hiking. There were two Multnomah County Sheriffs on the trail in front of us with big, big guns. We caught up with them as they were talking to a woman coming down the trail. Apparently a man had a gun on the trail and was firing it into the creek. IDIOTS! Eagle Creek is one of the most popular trails in the Gorge. If you want to fire your gun off go to the middle of nowhere please. I don't know if they caught the person. Yikes!
The poor cops were sweating profusely as it was HOTHOTHOT out and they were a bit overdressed for hiking on such a day.

Mt. Tarawera is a restlessly sleeping volcano which has erupted five times in the last 18000 years. In the foreground is Lake Rotomahana, a once volcanic flat and home to the largest silica terraces of New Zealand; the White and Pink terraces. However, an incredibly violent explosion of Mt. Tarawera at 10th June 1886, by which A series of volcanic explosions changed the landscape to a horizontal chain of craters, destroyed the terraces and surroundings, by which the rift-valleys and Lake Rotomahana are formed of residu.
