and we knew she is going to end up swimming in the pond.
so did she.
You might not like this a bit, but I do. I'm not sure why. The letters that spell out "Richmond" are chrome. The colors are only from the cars that are passing. I took two, and the other is in focus but with no cars passing, there was no color.
I played with editing it, and always came back to, "I kind of like it this way". So here you go. I was at the airport with my niece and sister, picking up my niece's fiance who's home from Iraq for good. Yay!
Today's Random Fact: My dad worked here when Humphrey Bogart and other lesser stars made a movie called "Battle Circus". My father drove him around while they were here and Mr. Bogart let Daddy take his photo without his toupee, something he never did. Daddy's got some things H.B. gave him when he left, too. Cool.
Every year we celebrate the long weekend (the first wknd in August in Canada) at our friend's cottage on Go Home Lake which is in the Muskoka region of Southern Ontario. There's the usual regatta for cottagers ... kids water-skiing ... lots of good food, drinks and good old fashioned summer fun.
It also happens to be our anniversary weekend and this was our 41st! Can't think of a better way to celebrate it than go to Go Home Lake!

This home lays dormant in Keatchi, Louisiana. Many items remain on the porch, yet they simply collect dust as the home lost its occupants years ago.

The restored home af Thomas Wolfe, an American writer. The first time I visited it had a nostalgic feeling and smell like my grandmother's house. Soon after, there was a fire and a restoration. Now it does not have the "old" smell.
