Now that the big shed is gone that served as divider between our two properties at home, the ivy wall can be better appreciated. It has been growing fo many years.
Earlier this year, my family tore down our shed, and now my niece and nephew have plenty of space for a big sandbox, for riding their various toys, and for having parties there.
This is the Lenox "Eerie-Go-Round" carousel for their Halloween village. I just love it. It has rats, crows, and a broomstick on it.

As we walked to a recently renovated house the streets became familiar. I was being bombarded with flashbacks. Memories of my hand being held by my dad's. Images from the deepest part of my memory. I remember my dad telling me that his dad would walk with him the same path. My dad, and his dad before him, would point to a house, claiming that it was my great grandfather's residence. We never knew who owned it now, or what had become of it.
Whilst I am stuck in that surreal train of thought I am awaken to the rattling of keys. I start to withdraw my gaze from the door only to realize that we were walking into my great grandfather's house. I can't explain the radiating feeling inside of me. I can try to sum it up in a word; 'home'.

Cover art from some old, slightly musty magazines I received. Mostly includes sewing and needlepoint instruction, some cooking, some housecleaning. Inspiration for young artists....
Into the attic, to bake all those spoors.....
A piece of Huichol style beadwork that I made several years ago when I was off work and bedridden.
The original design was already impressed on this vintage aluminum tray. I only added the beads.
