The decorators had just finished repainting both the empty rooms before my new lodgers arrive for the start of term, and when I re-hung the curtains these morning shadows took my fancy.
A wideangle view of my apartment from down low. Hong Kong apartments are tiny, a mere 400 sq ft - 600 sq ft for most families. I would say that my home is slightly larger than normal, since it's old and has virtually ZERO amenities in the vicinity.
A pretty comfortable and cozy place I must say.
I often dream about living in a home like this. But reality always sets me straight: what about kids' education, what about the world I still want to see, do I really think I could live there for longer than a week without getting bored? Anyways, living a place like Shanghai really makes me long for some tranquility.
