Home is where...?
This lovely old house is on a large block of land and has been decaying for years. My guess is it's probably on a heritage list, but nobody wants to renovate it.
Shot with a Canon EOS 400D with the 18-55mm IS kit lens at very late in the sunset - shutter speeds got up to 30 sec.
Served as a test of Photomatix (which is buggy!) and Photoshop 32bit (which is also a bit buggy). Working around the bugs in both allowed a combination of the two into a partially tone-mapped image.

This pre-civil war home is said to be the 3rd house built in South Wheeling. The house is located on the river front, and many of its unique features are still preserved.
The house is currently going through a restoration process and was toured during the June Friends of Wheeling meeting.
A home made pizza I made back last year. Light looks like it's from the sun....but it ISNT!!! woohoo haha.

Arlington Antebellum Home & Gardens is a former plantation house near downtown Birmingham, Alabama. The two-story frame structure was built between 1845–50 and features antebellum-era Greek Revival architecture. The house serves as a decorative arts museum, featuring a collection of 19th-century furniture, textiles, silver, and paintings.
My new bookshelves, kind of an odd setup. This is 5 pieces. It's two tall Billy shelves, one short shelf. There is a height extension on the tall one on the left and the short one on the right. The height extensions are not designed to go on the short shleves, so I had to hack them a little. I drilled a couple of holes and used some stain on the top, which is normally unfinished.
i sat on top of my tv to take this shot. a little blurry, but you get the idea. this is my main living space. it's six tatami mats big, which makes it 360 cm long by 270 cm wide, or about 9 x 12 feet. i sleep on a futon, which i fold up and put in the closet during the day (most days).
Taken whilst on a short walk a couple of days ago. Despite overcast conditions the picture came out with a lot of depth and deep colours.
