The next best thing to being around those you love, is to be within a 'click' or two when you need to be. This is my iPhone's Home button. I felt it to be an appropriate symbol for contact when away from home. My wife, my parents and my friends are just a moment away...on long trips, when sharing a special moment when not everyone can be there. Home. The simple act of pushing and releasing this little black circle generates images of your loved ones, pets...or a map...back home.
I lit this with a bounced SB800 off of my office wall and bookcase (which are light grey and white). I deliberately chose not have an image on the screen because I felt it distracted from the focus of the Home button.

#8 The Main Course
This is a old dirt road that lead to the rural home where I was raised. I always lowed the color in the fall and had to go back and relive them.
View from the driveway of our family home at 130 West Wilson Bridge. which at that time was in Sharon Township north of Worthington. My brother, David is holding Chink, our family dog.
The south side of the road was a large open field from the Olentangy River to High Street. The field is now filled with houses, condos, and Worthington Square Shopping Center.
I took the photo with my folding 616 Kodak, probably
on Verichrome film.
This truck is the home of this couple and their dog. Even so, they have easier lives than people living in those tents that you can see through windows. The Madison camp was originally built for Occupy Madison political movement, but now it has become a haven for homeless residents. Tens of tents have been set up over there. However, this camp will be closed by the end of this month. The homeless have to find a new place to stay.

for the record...the 3 new houses that are being built across the road are going up fast, and been meaning to take a quick snap & I'll post one when they are finished
There are new homes going up all around this area....it's a regeneration zone!

This photo was taken while the kids were playing in the rain in our front yard. 2 days later we were hit by a Tornado of all things. A tornado in NQ Australia???? Yes. We were lucky, many around us were not. Losing houses and possessions. But no loss of life thank goodness.
This building used the be the Home Ales Brewery in Daybrook. Founded in 1875, the brewery was famous for its Robin Hood logo on beermats. The brewery remained independent until 1986 when it was purchased by Scottish & Newcastle who moved production to its Mansfield brewery site resulting in the eventual closure of the Daybrook building in 1996. The Home Ales building now houses county council offices.
