KARB. Ann Arbor Municipal Airport. My home field. Where I took my first formal steps on my journey to becoming a pilot. Here I soloed nearly 17 years ago. What a welcome sight. Here I returned after venturing out on my first solo cross country one rainy evening. What a welcome sight! Here I ran the gauntlet that is the private pilot practical test. Departing one last time as a student and returning as pilot in command. What a welcome sight. This place changed me forever. You will always be my port in the storm, my welcome sight, my home.

The simple act of pushing and releasing this little black circle generates images of your loved ones, pets...or a map...back home.
