My own beach Social distancing at its best :)

Nothing like being home at Christmas time. I really love visiting my family down in Florida but I'm really glad we decided to stay put this year.

This is one of my favourite formal combinations so I wanted to show more pictures than usual because I love the look so much. Today I am not working, however I have decided to have a "formal day" at home by myself. I do not have these types of days as often as I wish, but I enjoy them immensely when I do.

I will begin the morning with a hot relaxing shower before dressing myself. As you are surely aware by now I love the tuxedo look and I consider white bowties to be the most formal looking colour. I will take extra care while I dress to make sure every part of my outfit looks just right, paying special attention not to make a sloppy or uneven bowtie knot.

During my "formal at home" days, of course I must not neglect regular household activities such as daily chores or preparing meals, but I also like to find time to enjoy more elegant pursuits that seem fitting for my nice clothing.

Today I plan to catch up on some correspondence in the morning. I need to finish some overdue reports and writings I have been assigned, and I will also prepare a handwritten letter to my sister in France. It feels so nice to do these elegant activities in formal wear and gloves.

I like to enjoy more elegant activities during my formal at home days. Music is a such an enjoyment for me and I will often listen to my phonograph as I go about my daily activities dressed nicely. I think it is more fitting than digital music when wearing formal clothing. I also play both the guitar and the piano, and using an instrument is also a favourite activity of mine that seems very elegant.

I have heard it said before that dressing well is a means of showing respect, both for others and yourself. To this end I try to imagine how I would act and behave differently if I lived in a bygone era with more stringent standards for these activities. There is of course a side of me that is quite relaxed, when I visit with close friends for example and wear jeans and hoodies, but today I will focus on proper posture and the graceful and elegant movements of a lady as I go about my day. If someone calls on the phone I will speak respectfully in a more quiet, formal tone. When I dine, I set my table with proper place settings and candles. Practicing these elegant and ladylike activities are something I enjoy immensely.

I have been exploring this style for a few years now, and I have been growing much more comfortable in making it "mine." I like the way I look, and I like the way others look when dressed formally, but I also think it helps one with remembering to hold themselves to higher standards of poise and behaviour while they are dressed well.

I wish you a pleasant Sunday, and if you dress well today I hope you take a extra care to show a little higher standard than normal in your activities.

Ilford RC Glossy paper, scanned Epson Perfection V300 Photo. I like the movement of the grasses, can was positioned at an about 45 degree angle, half dug into the sand on a beach.

I converted half of my computer room into a home studio.... I should be getting more lights in soon

I have about 14ft between the backdrop and my computer area.

During his first visit, Maciej has already knew that he has just found a place for living and for working. He has commissioned his friends from mode:lina™ studio to do an arrangement of the place. The task wasn't easy, because the designers has faced a challenge of making both a multifunctional design studio space and apartment for living on merely 37 m2 of area... what is more, they also needed to remember about “hiding-room” for a 6-years old son!

Home sweet home is what the miners called this "desert palace". Located 100 paces from the Colorado rivers edge it is across the river from Picahco State Park, CA.

The cabin still has its original saltbush thatched roof with a more recent layer applied by local caretakers to help preserve it in the howling winds this area receives.

The inside of the cabin is fully furnished with real artifacts of the period. If you go take a new register as the one there is full and the pen is dead.

Taken back in 2006 on Prince Edward Island. I posted another BW version before. I started lately to look at functions I never really considered using in Photoshop. I am starting to get the hang of it. I'm glad I never deleted those bad bird pictures...

A fairly recent landscaping revision of my Opensim home grid.

I actually worked on the land since these pics were taken, so may update on the progress later, and maybe give more of an intimate pic tour when the revisions are closer to being finished.

Before the CN took over the EJ&E, 703 spent almost all its time running the WRS1 between Waukegan and Spaulding. CN sent it away shortly after the merger, and 703 mainly wonders all over the Midwest now.

It's four years later, and the 703 has once again been assigned to the former WRS1! It looks right at home banging the diamonds at Leithton heading for its former home in Waukegan. Vernon Hills, IL
