My younger brother was very reluctant to leave the tranquility of the mountains and head back to the teaming masses that throng the streets of his home in Shanghai

807. 1/15 "Home Sweet Home"
Sometimes, there's just no place like home! What does your dog enjoy the most about being at home?
Spanky enjoys burrowing !!!! He loves to be under my blankets at night, and loves to be snuggled up in his cozy cave bed during the day.
The buses are on diversion at the moment because of some roadworks, and as a result, in order to avoid a 2 mile detour in heavy traffic, we have to get off the bus much earlier and walk home.
The other night, congestion was so bad in Hammersmith that no buses were moving at all, and so I wound up walking all the way home (about 3 miles), in the wrong shoes.
I want to live near a tube station again.
Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
When angels talk in Heaven above,
I'm sure they have no words more sweet
Than Home and Love.
Just Home and Love! it's hard to guess
Which of the two were best to gain;
Home without Love is bitterness;
Love without Home is often pain.
No! each alone will seldom do;
Somehow they travel hand and glove:
If you win one you must have two,
Both Home and Love.
And if you've both, well then I'm sure
You ought to sing the whole day long;
It doesn't matter if you're poor
With these to make divine your song.
And so I praisefully repeat,
When angels talk in Heaven above,
There are no words more simply sweet
Than Home and Love.

My wife left on an overseas trip almost two weeks ago and her two children(our westies) are very unhappy. They aren't eating well and sit by our front door for hours at a time, waiting for her to come home:)

Bringing home another branch to add to the nest. Though this branch is quite small, it was impressive to watch him get others that were bigger as he just snapped them off the trees. He took his time checking out the different branches before selecting the perfect one each time.
It's the real thing. :-)

an auspicious day. today mother and brother's family moved into the new house.

Moved house about 5 weeks ago and have finally got round to finishing my home office.
Last thing to do was hang some pictures today.
All ready for viewing :)
Now all I need is a 27" iMac to finish it off properly

A frame of my home street in June 2019.
I shot this just before taking the last steps to get back home after the first of three evening walks that I took to take the test shots on my first slide film.
And there was no need to regret buying a 5-pack of these expired Fuji Astia films after I got the first of them back from development.
Taken with:
Olympus OM-2n
Olympus OM Zuiko 50mm f/1.4
Fujichrome Astia 100 (Expired 03/99)
Scanned with:
Canon EOS 6D
Leica APO-Macro-Elmarit-R 100mm f/2.8
Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm going to make this place your home
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm going to make this place your home
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm going to make this place your home
